I think it was the BA podcast who said there’s usually only around 2 top 100 guys traded at the deadline.

His time in Seattle was over and his era in Chicago is days away from beginning. LETS FUCKING GO! Competitors like him do not want to be fucked with. I don’t know about other people. I see a really good athlete, with good swing decisions who has a lot of room to get stronger. If he does, there’s a lot of upside. People in the org compare him to Grady Sizemore. He was traded away and it was a mistake

His calls on big plays are good (thogh he can’t seem to identify a home run off the bat), but he simply talks too much. His job as the PBP guy is to call the pitches and describe the results. He calls every game like it’s a blowout or rain delay where the announcer has to fill. If he talked less, called the game, and let the color guy fill the space, he’d be much better off. Fans will always complain about announcing. People on here are triggered by the 8 second “Nationwide” jingle for God’s sake. I usually defend him because I feel like there’s a lot of piling on him, but if they move on I’d be ok. He doesn’t seem to get that he’s not the show.

He's been awful after I suggested he might be a fit for the White Sox in deal with the Mariners. Relievers, they're volatile.

(Does the higher seed get home field in the ALCS regardless of record?) Why not the White Sox!

Let his contract expire and have him ride off into the sunset. It was an experiment that didn't work, move on.

Jim: Speaking with someone involved in the process a few years ago and was told other more highly qualified people applied for the job when Benetti left, why John was hired is a mystery. That being said since when has the Sox front office / P.R. / marketing folks even really cared what the fan base wanted? I think he gets a new deal and we are stuck with him. Brooks isn't going to fire the guy and basically admit he screwed up the final decision. Now it's possible John leaves on his own but I'd be surprised if that happened.

Damn you're old bro. Feel better. Speech to text has gotten pretty good, look into it. I partially tore my rotator cuff about 8 years ago falling drunk in a monsoon camping out on the peninsula. Stepped out of the little cabin into a slip and slide fall right on my shoulder. It's never quite been the same since. Flairs up on me lifting once a year or so. A client of mine just had his repaired, guy in his 70s, he was feeling a lot better after 4 weeks he said. Was able to start range of motion at that point.
