Surprised Roch is getting 80%. I agree its a closer race than it was going into the year but I also do think though that there is quite a bit of prospect fatigue going on though. I am hoping it is one of the SS by a mile though. I do not want Lackey at all.

With the Padres sputtering, I keep thinking about Mason Miller. I’d have to imagine that would cost Bonemer though if they are even willing to trade him at all.

Yea has been eerily quiet on the Mune front... Most recent update (at least that I see) was last Friday 6/26 taking BP/running at 85% Tomorrow is 1 day shy of 5 weeks and they said the 4-6 week timeframe was still on track. Would be an awesome surprise to see the announcement tomorrow but I'll hold my breath. I think we need the OG Mune champion @Chicago White Sox to will this into existence.

My wife once asked me how I'd feel about the Cubs winning it all, and I said it would be like the Brewers winning. It would be nice for them, their fans. I wouldn't troll them upon losing, as I hate that being done to me. in 2016, I didn't participate. I don't even think I was in the country. Didn't plan around the eventuality as I would with the Sox. I see no reason to root for the Cubs. They tell us all the time they have so many more fans, so I think they're covered for the rooting.

Surprisingly, Roch is getting over 80% in early voting results. One of the most respected draft day posters in SoxAce is the only Emerson vote and Lackey also currently has only one vote. Looking like perhaps there actually is a near consensus for Roch outside of all the draft thread noise.

End of story. And here's an example of how the Cub organization feels about the White Sox. For years, decades, the scoreboard at Wrigley when listing American League games would have White Sox on it versus whomever they were playing. Now and this has been the case I think since the Tribune Company bought the team, although I can't say that for sure, they list the Sox as "Chicago" versus whomever they are playing on the scoreboard. And we're supposed to root for them? 😆

And Getz has said he wants to keep him here (with an understanding that he's earning a bigger payday). Both sides will try to work something out whether it's this summer or after the season.

Don't feel like it's been particularly silent? They're waiting on him to be running full speed, then they'll decide if they think he needs rehab reps at AAA or not. So almost certainly not tomorrow, though do I lean towards them avoiding a Charlotte stint if they can. A return during the homestand feels right, get him into some winnable games at home and then hopefully come out of the ASB full steam ahead.

You have to take all those with a grain of salt though. It all depends on what a team is willing to pay for his services.
