  2. There's no other site as good as the proposed one. It's right near the old one, massive and not used currently. Finding a different site is easier said than done.

  4. I found that a bit Cringy. Guy does something very cool and you kind of s%*# on him.
  5. Excellent observation. So far, I've seen denial, anger, and bargaining. You're right, they should have been trying to promote to ISFA and the Sox an entertainment district at least when the 78 proposal was announced in January 2024. Perhaps much earlier than that as they knew the lease was ending in 2029 and we've all seen what most other teams around the league are doing around their ballparks. I don't know if that would have worked, but it seems too late now to start scrambling with suggestions for site redevelopment. Trying to convince Amtrak to select an alternative site might have a better chance of success than threats of lawsuits since it's been clearly settled law that railroads can do these kind of things on their own property.
  6. The Brewers 3 seasons since Counsell left: good, better, best. Also, not too surprising he would make that claim since Counsell was friends with Parkins’ older brother who passed away. A little bias with that and being a Cubs fan
  7. But the valuations worked out for him. Cuban bought the Mavs for about $285 million in 2000 and sold his stake in the team for $3.5 billion in 2024, according to ESPN senior NBA insider Shams Charania. But Cuban says it's a bit more than that. "$4.3 [billion]," he said regarding what he made from the Mavericks deal. "Yeah." And he hasn't left the business. In July he joined Harbinger Sports Partners, a $750 million private equity fund that took a minority stake in MLB's Las Vegas Athletics and uses predictive analytics to size up a team's ticket prices, sponsorships and local demand: the "Sports 2.0" playbook he ran in Dallas, now sold to investors. yahoo.com/sports
  8. 4 left… San Diego, Seattle, Colorado, Tampa Bay Mariners only team without a LCS win.
  9. I asked ChatGPT to list the MLB teams that won their first World Series title since 1950 and here it is: Year Team 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers 1966 Baltimore Orioles (St. Louis Browns franchise) 1969 New York Mets 1980 Philadelphia Phillies 1985 Kansas City Royals 1992 Toronto Blue Jays 1997 Florida Marlins 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks 2002 Anaheim Angels 2017 Houston Astros 2019 Washington Nationals 2023 Texas Rangers 2026 Milwaukee Brewers
  10. Move over, Bernie the Brewer, here comes Joe Camel!
  11. Imagine turning domestic violence into a touchdown dance.
  12. so this guy has now put this out there and that a deal is finalized for Arlington Heights. I think this is a full of s%*# account at this point.

  14. Next year will be the development year. It was put on hold this year. We still need to see what the younger pitchers are capable of.
  15. Big no to Detmers or Rasmussen. Taking the worst of it by a lot. Perhaps Kirby, as part of a Mariners retool sell-off, can be had on-the-cheap. He had a bad year, but in contrast to, say, Gore, he's actually good.
  16. Hell yeah Brewers
  17. MLB Trade RumorsTop 40 Trade Candidates Of The 2026-27 MLB OffseasonIt's offseason time! Who are some of the top trade candidates this winter? MLB Trade Rumors takes a look for you.Four frontline pitchers in trade market: Detmers, Rasmussen, Kirby, Hancock Mackenzie Gore speculated to Sox among a number of teams Teoscar Hernández would mostly require taking on salary to open spot for LAD young prospects or Sato
  18. The story behind Belle wasn't that clean, and it wasn't the same year.
  19. Wikelman Gonzalez outrighted off Marlins' 40 man roster
  20. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=murray000tan 768 career milb ops Peters was 777
  21. All three will likely prove themselves to be expendable in time — Acuna, Murray, and Bergolla. Not even mediocre.
  22. Murray is extremely good defensively at every position you put him and can actually hit a little bit from the right side. With a lefty heavy line up, Bergolla would struggle to get at bats even if he’s healthy, which is a big if. Acuna simply can’t hit. Sox need another righty on the bench. I think Murray can be that guy. Maybe I’m wrong.
  23. Murray sounds like a golfer’s name. No power for most of his minor league career. Jack of all trades, master of none. Missed most of the season, like Bergolla, só will take 3-4 months to get back in a rhythm. 27 1/2 at the start of the season. Rays would make another mistake like Peters in one off-season?
  24. I'd go with Bergolla over Acuna, as the utility infielder. Better hitter.
