I joined this board to discuss White Sox prospects when the system was headlined by Daniel Hudson, Jared Mitchell and Tyler Flowers. They had to beat the optimism out of me.
- Today

You give me an 80 win team and I'll best-case-scenario my way to 92 wins in a heart beat. You give me a 63 win team and I cant take you seriously or waste my time investing the time into watching.

Love him or hate him, he is one of the best ever.

Absolutely. One more, "Baby, I can change! This times it's different! " just isn't enough anymore.

This. If it costs $100-150m to run a team at all, then many markets can't just spend 70%+ of revenue on payroll and stay afloat. And going by these numbers, the Dodgers' payroll is higher than the total revenue of all but NYY and BOS. So every other team could spend every dollar of revenue on players, in a magical world with no other operating costs, and still couldn't afford the Dodgers' payroll.

Shhhh not too loud. Don’t want to upset people for having higher standards!
-
Yea, this shouldn’t be a “he was nice to me” award. This is HoF. Nobody did it better than Bill and Brady for a long period of time

I miss being that guy too. I wish this organization didn’t revert to whatever this is, but it’s been an unpleasant stretch for sure

Sports writers are the worst. They try to make themselves bigger than the game.
-
That's fucking petty

Nothing new, mostly explaining the thinking behind different processes of making the decision to break out Colson in one-on-one coaching in the spring, how Murakami unfolded, etc.

White Sox are dead last in baseball in revenue/payroll percentage

I have no doubt JR keeping the lion share of profits. -

Please give me highlights. I can't listen to Kaplan.

It's the time of year where people can dream, and I miss being that guy! Seriously. Although having expectations usually means more disappointment, so id rather be surprised. I'm thinking this team is more likely to lose 100 than they are to win even 70.

MLBTR Offseason Outlook on White Sox
Look at Ray Ray Run replied to WestEddy's topic in Pale Hose Talk
He compared them to a team that went 83-79 but then gives them a 12% chance of winning 71 games? What? -
Nice Getz interview on the REKAP podcast:

Dude is still getting blackballed

maybe you imagined it last season and this season I've come across the A's being one of those teams breakout is a vague description, they way injuries are sports is very hard to predict The Sox and many other teams lack depth when it comes to injuries.
-
It's the same old, is the glass half empty or half full puzzle. I'm just suggesting it's more fun to buy into the idea that the glass is filling quickly.
-
I am just observing year four of signing bottom tier free agents with the intention of flipping them, a suspect pitching staff, and a young and unproven lineup. You are free to believe that they are gonna be a lot better. I don’t

Maybe winning the division

It arouses my curiosity how fans and young players would react to having one of those living legends on the Sox any player not signed by spring training doesn't work out well I'll assume the asking price is way too high for both of them, even the big spenders haven't jumped.

LOL WHAT?!
