  2. Prices higher for anticipated Skubal-Misiorowski clashAnticipation is high in Milwaukee. Per Gametime, as of Thursday, demand for tickets is higher for Game 1 on Sunday in Milwaukee than it was three days prior to the start of the series last season. The median ticket price for Sunday's game was $484 as of Thursday, compared to $345 the same time last year. The get-in price for Game 1 is $249, compared to $160 in 2025. Adding to the anticipation for Game 1 is an expected pitching matchup between Milwaukee's presumptive Cy Young winner, Jacob Misiorowski, and Dodgers ace Tarik Skubal, who won the AL Cy Young Award with the Detroit Tigers in 2024 and 2025. The median price for Game 2 (Monday) isn't as high, but it's still higher than last year ($357) at $426

  4. The Cleveland Guardians acquired two-time Gold Glove-winning catcher Patrick Bailey from the San Francisco Giants for the No. 29 pick in this year's MLB draft and left-handed pitching prospect Matt "Tugboat" Wilkinson. Bailey, 26, is considered one of the best defensive catchers in the major leagues, though his struggles with the bat and Daniel Susac's imminent return from the injured list prompted the Giants to seek a deal for Bailey this week. The Guardians stepped up with the No. 29 pick -- which they are allowed to trade because it is a competitive-balance round choice -- and the 23-year-old Wilkinson, whose large frame earned him the nickname "Tugboat" and whose strikeout rate has been elite since he entered professional baseball. Cleveland general manager Chris Antonetti said before Saturday night's game against the Minnesota Twins that the organization has had interest in Bailey for a long time, but the right opportunity didn't happen until this past week. Perfect timing SFG season crashing under new manager Vitello of Univ.Tennessee Wanted to open spot for Susac And small market Guards had an extra competitive balance pick to dangle
  5. Had Walker all last year when he was splitting with Charbonnet. Drove me insane. This year’s draft, Walker went one pick earlier, got Omarion Hampton instead.
  6. It’s already around $100 million without new deals for Fedde or Newcomb…

  8. Zero chance of this happening unless you think they are rocking a $85M payroll next year.
  9. If they can't score with runners in scoring position it won't matter much.
  10. We'll see if an injury prone guy who throws in the low 90's can succeed for any length of time.
  11. Kay has another season I think.
  12. That's something that I can't figure out. This has happened a few times this year. The guy has electric stuff, he can look unhittable one game, then a few nights later look like he belongs in single A trying to figure out what the hell to do.
  13. And this probably limits what JR allows them to do next year...if there is a season at all.
  14. The numbers don't lie. The deadline was a disaster. Those giving credit to Getz also need to saddle him with this shithole.
  15. Look at the players the Guardians acquire. Foster Griffin - 2.2 IP and 7ks Jo Adell - 4/15, 6 RBIs. Patrick Bailey - 5/12 with a HR. (To be fair this was a trade in May) Lowe - 3/12 with 5 BBs Meanwhile for us.. Doyle - 1/8 Luis Castillo, Joey Bart, Brazoban - LOL The Guardians focused on acquiring good players, even if they were rentals. Getz focused strictly on players under control that they thought they could "fix". We were leading the division all year and he didn't even give a good effort to add freaking rentals that would help. He got cute and blew it. The difference between this series being over and it still going is the trade deadline. Guards did well, Sox blew it.
  16. Your posts indicate that you don't know much about the stadium other than the 500 level (the last time you attended a game?), that you are not familiar with the Southside, and have no respect for the history and traditions of the White Sox and their fan base. Your desire for Ishbia to move the stadium near a train station more accessible to "casual fans" like yourself is all about you, isn't it? How selfish. Private financing? Oh, like the federally backed financing for moving an enormous railroad boneyard to the South side or the 134 Million he duked to Amtrak...which he gets back later? Ishbia doesn't spend personal money. Instead he manipulates debt to make money. That is what private equity investors do. There is no advantage to taxpayers if he abandons a stadium and acres of parking owned by the public. Ishbia's greed and avarice has now taken a back seat to his arrogance. You seem unable to understand what motivates the Ishbia clan - greed and avarice and a large helping of billionaire megalomania. Do your own research on them. Donald Vilimas, a 6th grader at Bridgeport Catholic Academy is not a causal fan like those you envision taking a train from afar to go to an occasional game. That youngster goes to numerous games every season. He really captured a lot of what it means to be a South side White Sox fan, even in the dark shadow of two play-off losses when he stated that : "“This just matters a lot to me—the White Sox are my team.” https://www.nbcchicago.com/chicago-sports-bears-sox-cubs-bulls-blackhawks/bridgeport-students-gifted-tickets-to-see-white-sox-in-game-3-of-alds/3999272/ This kid is special and I hope the White Sox honor him and his classmates, especially if the Sox overcome all odds and play for the AL championship.
  17. Bringing out the big dawg for the gamethread! Already locking the last one though?
  18. The Sox playing Nah nah hey hey goodbye, down by 4 runs in the 9th is downright embarrassing. Amateurs!
  19. Time to keep up the postseason road warrior ways!!! Never give up - let’s go!!!
  20. We gave up more for Doyle than the Guardians gave up for Adell.
  21. It's frustrating because Cleveland probably doesn't beat us if they didn't have a good trade deadline. Jo Adell, Foster Griffin, etc. They didn't give up great pieces either. Getz didn't truly believe in the team and acquired players under control. Cleveland acquired players that were actually good, even if they were rentals. Just a horrible plan by Getz.
  22. Tommy Pham needs to investigate this further.
  23. He's gonna get a lot of credit for the team being way ahead of schedule. But he really capped this team's playoff potential with his horrid trade deadline. We somehow won 4 playoff games with 1 actual starter. That in itself is almost a miracle. Imagine if we had someone like Tyler Mahle or even Foster Griffin to start a game instead of Luis Castillo's $25 million sitting on the IL because he sucks so bad that they had to fake an injury for him.
  24. And then Thorpe will replace him
  25. My son was watching upstairs and was ahead a few seconds than me and reacted like it was gone
  26. I still don't know how Ant's sac fly didn't go farther. 105.5 EV at 21 degrees should go farther than 349 feet. 39% of those go for homers.
