  1. Past hour
  2. They play their cards right, the prize is right there in their hands.
  3. Ah yes. The double Montgomery. Didn't even realize.
  4. Yeah that’s a super deep rotation now and if they add Bregman, Bichette, Tucker or Bellinger, it’s probably the second best NL roster.
  5. I love this trade for the cums. It was a big load to give up but they had to make a splash.
  6. Today
  7. I do not like this for the Cums. Not a big Cabrera fan, to give Caissie up
  8. Iriarte still being on this list is insane imho.
  9. I have a notebook full of "AlmaGetz" with hearts around each one
  10. Huh. And I was told guys like him and Yoan just stopped caring after they got their big contracts. It's almost like they have a competitive nature and a passion to keep playing the game.
  11. Concerns about Cabrera’s health probably hurt his value some
  12. I think his point was that keeping Luis Robert for some imaginary “playoff push” is a ridiculous thing to say when they have the 4th lowest payroll and still a long checklist of needs.
  13. Crazy how much more Baz went for compared to Cabrera.
  14. Eloy's been playing winter ball, I assume with the intent of attracting a camp deal from someone.
  15. What an atrocious savant page too. Outside of the elite GB% it's A LOT of blue... and even that seems like a huge outlier compared to the rest of his career.
  16. Viciedo actually had a very successful career overseas. But I wouldn't even worry over Eloy's career. He made a lot of money for doing a whole lot of nothing in the majors.
  17. Yep, Cabrera reportedly had a strain/partial tear of his UCL at the end of the season.
  18. This is true. There should be a balance there. I just think once you start calling the game with too much of your heart than your head (i.e. always leaning the Sox way on 50-50 calls), you start getting into the Schriffen territory of thinking you can sell a product to fans that isn't actually there.
  19. Benetti and Stone were excellent together at the beginning. By the end the act had worn thin..................Schriffen is so bad at times its actually entertaining laughing at him.
  20. Physical. Same thing that happened with Luzardo when they tried to acquire him in the past i guess.
  21. The only problem I had with Benetti was too many corny "dad" jokes. Otherwise, he was great - a home-grown "voice of the Sox" announcer who could have been here for decades while getting some national broadcasts too. But, we're Sox fans and can't have good things. At least he didn't jump ship to the Cubs - which would have been yet another PR win for the North Siders as they know how to promote their on-air talent. I wonder how well liked he is in Detroit? Some talk radio blowhard ripping on him doesn't tell me what the fanbase in general thinks of him. Schriffen is simply not watchable. He doesn't belong in a MLB broadcast booth. But Uncle Jerry wants someone there who will tell us we're eating prime rib when in reality they're serving us a s%*# sandwich.
  22. What ever happened to Eloy? Is his career hopelessly over? Remember Viciedo? What a bust. And Vaughn, who did a little better in Milwaukee?
