Who we thinking this might be? I’m throwing out Carson Bolemon. Think he’s the type of buy low arm the Sox would like.

Insightful- White Sox win draft lottery, will pick #1 in 2026
I wonder if they are trying to get one of them at an underslot value. Any chance you think they could trade for one of the comp picks? I don't know what they would give up or even the correct value for something like that. The other thing, I wonder if they are talking to Roch or Emerson about moving off of shortstop. Before this year, I think most of us were skeptical about Montgomery staying at shortstop. However, with the emergence of Vargas and Monty playing a good shortstop, I would assume( Roch especially) would have to move to 2nd base or centerfield. Roch's timeline would probably be a year in the minors with the expectation that by 2028 opening day, he would be in the MLB. I believe Montgomery would still have four years of control at that point.- 7/8/26 - BOS @ CWS, 7:40 PM EST

Another piece of the puzzle = Roch, IMO- 7/8/26 - BOS @ CWS, 7:40 PM EST
So, Cease has a no-hitter through 8 in SF. The Blue Jays were up 7-0 and put up a 3-spot in the top of the ninth. Now A. Kirk got a hit with 2 outs. I would think that with a 10-run lead, they wouldn't want to stretch out an inning, or would they want to get Cease more rest between innings?- 7/8/26 - BOS @ CWS, 7:40 PM EST
