  2. Lost all respect for him after the Patrick Kane situation. He would berate to no end anyone that even insinuated that the girl could be making the story up or overembellishing. Once it turned out to be a complete farce he never once apologized. Then there were the instances with Aiyana Cristal and eventually the kid he was going after on Twitter that ultimately got him canned from the score. He just seems like a miserable guy in general that masquerades as a holier than thou person.
  3. Very versatile, can do tennis basketball Little League WS etc. A bit more by the book than Benetti, who has his distinctive corny dad jokes style. Pretty sure he's too professional to lock into a good ol boys network team.
  4. It's sad you can replace the name Oppor with 3 other highly regarded names who took a step back as starters in the minors from 2025 to 2026 and it would fit.
  5. Mike Monaco wouldn't be bad either. The good news this time is it's almost certainly going to be an upgrade.
  6. Regarding Schriffen, I do remember that you weren’t quick to judge him and gave him a shot. It wasn’t until more recently that you were saying he was simply bad at the job and you thought he was going to be replaced, which ended up happening. Regarding Bernstein, did he really have a mental health crisis? Or is it simply what he used as an excuse for his own stupidity, ego, and rage? He went ballistic on a random Twitterer and threatened to dox his family/children just because the guy was trolling him and inferring that he didn’t follow Illinois fishing rules. He doesn’t interact on social media because his ego can’t handle it. He has always been a complete dick to many of his callers and to people on social media. It’s just like Steve Stone on Twitter. Stone stopped going on Twitter as much and responding to Sox fans because he was making a complete jackass of himself. I think the mental health crisis excuse is a load of BS. Not everything in life is a syndrome or crisis. Some people just need to own up to their own asshole personalities. Both Bernstein and Stone are quite simply egotistical dickheads.
  7. I know this was a joke, but also I hate that I have to stop and wonder if it is really is a joke... https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7728109/2026/10/27/john-schriffen-white-sox-broadcast-announcer-out/?source=athletic_thewindup_newsletter&campaign=20607646&userId=6062851

  10. Great easy 3 day get away and amazing experience. I was going to go to the ALCS there had our guys not tanked
  11. I seriously question the mental sanity of any person who listens to Dan Bernstein in 2026.
  12. My favorite part of the Schriffen stuff is people online accusing me of wanting to see this man lose his job when the same people are in my mentions and DM's wanting Colson Montgomery fired. Dan doesn't interact on social media anymore and had a legit mental health crisis essentially. This is the right platform for him now.
  13. Bernstein was entertaining when on WSCR. I too did not agree with some/many things he said but at least he was entertaining and stood firm on his takes. However, he seemed to be losing his mind the last few years with the SCORE.......Now with his podcast he just rants and no one really cares. I genuinely can't identify anyone on radio now that I enjoy listening too.
  14. At least one party has that idea.
  15. Agreed. His podcast is really good. I only have time for unfiltered but need to look deeper into the library at 312.
  16. I don't want to hear a word when people celebrate their eventual departures too.
  17. Awful AnnouncingChicago sports radio personalities not sad to see John Sc...In the wake of the news that the Chicago White Sox are moving on from play-by-play voice John Schiffren, the sports radio scene didn't seem to mind.
  18. Good point. There's also different experiences for fans who go 10x a year vs those who go only once year or maybe once every couple of years. For me, the first out of town ballparks I visited 20 to 30 years ago, it was more about saying I saw a game there while I was in town. Now when I go, I try to get there early to check out what's around the ballpark, check out the concourses, check out the food offerings, etc.
  19. A random Twitterer literally rope-a-doped him into career suicide.
  20. I am a true believer in Davis Martin and feel his early 2026 was not a fluke. If healthy I believe his ceiling is higher than most want to give him credit for. His K-BB% was an absurd 27% in May and learning about his lingering calf injury you have to think that had a large play in his declining peripherals. His April was fantastic as well. I am not expecting him to replicate his April-May numbers for a full season, but this is a SP that you throw back out there in 2027 to see what you have. He is a lock in my eyes and I expect him to be a staple in the rotation as long as hes able to stave off nagging injuries.
  21. It was truly the most ridiculous way for him to get fired
  22. This made JR shoot coffee out his nose this morning.
  23. I used to love the old B&B days but then Bernstein started going on more political rants than talking sports and also started attacking his listeners. The way he was finally fired from The Score is so ridiculous it’s tough to even believe. He deserves to be where he is now.
  24. Ald. Dowell promised to use that local veto to block the Sox from moving to the 78. Now, the plan is for them to move just across the river in a different ward.
  25. The ballpark experience in Tampa is dirt cheap in general for sure.
  26. The best part was his rep had it read into the permanent record of the house. These days it would end up in the trash.
  27. Team don’t care
