Their concession pricing is higher than average for pretty much everything. Their ticket prices are only cheap because the team has made the playoffs less often than pretty much every other MLB team in existence, and attendance is s%*# as a result. When was the last time you even went to a game?

I'm sorry,....did they lose, somehow? Seems like Castillo pitched, and then the White Sox won. Neither will Red Sox fans. Putz around and no momentum for the playoffs. It would make sense if they were playing the A's but losing series to Cleveland and the Cubs is not something you want to do. I don't think you can just flip a switch in baseball. It doesn't look like the Dodgers are coasting. I doubt the Brewers will.

Time for Cleveland to lose it tomorrow. Boston favored to win with a Gray v Griffin matchup. The Red Sox showed some fight today and I don’t take the line “they could care less” with much weight.

That’s what I’ve been boding for since we lost hold of first place… and I believe they can do it. No reason they shouldn’t be able to beat the Royals twice more and the Rockies three times at home.

I know how it works. So explain how it is 2 on this scenario: Sox go 0-5 Rangers go 4-1 Astros go 3-2 Thats two losses from the Astros. As you said, magic number goes down with opponent losses. With a magic number of two, that should get you in right? The standings would be Texas 82-80 Astros 81-81 White Sox 81-81 Sox miss the playoffs despite 2 losses from the competition. Magic number is 3 right now but yes 3 games can be gained in 1 night with a win.

I don't know. I do think Cleveland has the best chance simply because they have the type of pitching you need to succeed in the playoffs plus they have experience. I honestly would give us the lowest chances no matter what seed we get but it will still be fun to experience more playoff baseball

It's still technically 3. There is one specific scenario where it is three, but I laid that out above. Yes, a sox win alone would lower the number by 2. That's the fun with tiebreakers. But if the Sox dont win again, the tiebreaker isnt guaranteed.
