  1. Past hour

  2. Sox in the Basement podcast in general is one of the better White Sox podcasts out there. They have good stuff.
  3. This was really interesting, and being a suburbanite with a newly expanded passenger rail line, something our town is trying really hard to take advantage of. They are marketing the cheap real estate, hour commute to downtown, and 1% property tax max really hard to recruit.
  4. I watched the interview yesterday and found it very interesting. I already knew the power rail roads had but Sen. Cunningham shared his firsthand experiences. He said jokingly, "You can fight city hall, but you can't fight the rail roads." He also made a very interesting point how Covid started the work from home movement and how it has impacted downtown and taxes. I would recommend watching the video, good stuff.
  5. It's because everyone with sense moved out of Milwaukee years ago...
  6. If anyone ever has doubts that Ron trolls, bookmark this thread.
  7. Relievers are so volatile that even a bad season doesn't mean next season they won't be back on track. It has to be the hardest thing to evaluate looking forward on an annual basis.
  8. It will be interesting. The early chatter was that we were looking at repurposing the position into something with slightly different focus and responsibilities from what it had historically been. Maybe 3/4 of the old job and a 1/4 of a new one. That might also change the pool of people.
  9. What no one talks about is how much of an inflationary pressure that no immigration is becoming. Remember all of those jobs that no one wanted to do? The people who actually wanted to do them are now being rounded up and sent away.
  10. Not geeks but a lot of drinking with that crew. Beef loaf, Chorizy, etc.
  11. True. KenWo is a multi-sport threat. He also has a vast knowledge of wrestling.
  12. Today

  13. I don’t care about Bernstein. I only need to evaluate the truthfulness of his commentary. He is reporting things he heard from other people. Whether or not he can be trusted to report facts or not I can’t weigh in on
  14. That's an interesting question. My guess is we may have led the nation in undocumented workers, some who may have never set foot in another country. Most are just coworkers, friends, neighbors,
  15. Why is a group of fans that sit in seats blocked by the foul pole celebrated? Bunch of geeks.
  16. These seem mean spirited. 108 talking about content stealing seems rather rich. They are annoying as can be.
  17. Nobody should ever beat Kenwo for bad takes. Mike I hope you lose that one, and lose big
  18. I’d love to see this, then inaugurate him with his own wizard’s robe
  19. Lip Man 1 replied to Whisox05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
True given that JR is still running things.
  20. Second already...
  21. I think this could be a case where the Colts also wanted to do right by the player and send him where he wants to go. Buckner clearly wanted to go back. I'm sure if the Bears offered something clearly better, they would have gotten him though.
  22. Jay Mariotti and Hawk as my next nomination.
  23. Andrew Vaughn makes that play Joey Ortiz missed. Just sayin. If the Brewers somehow blow this, Ortiz will have his name up there with Brandon Bostick for all time Wisconsin sports choke jobs.
  24. 2nd base or bust
