“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
He has a point. He's overstepping his bounds buying things with his own damn money. He needs to hold the taxpayers hostage, take their funds, delay any building for years, then have the state build them a field that they will say doesn't meet their needs 10 years later.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I guess we know where to look if someone takes a shot at Ishbia huh? Dude is absolutely fucking insane.

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
THIS. him and Adell are the only guys good enough to really hurt you and they both did last night. Attack them the way they did in game 1 and this series is ovah.

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
I agree with everything you said. We even were waiting for the “real” first pitch. Thinking that guy was some contest winner or something. lol. Same thing with that “sizzle” video. Lame. I was sure I was going to hear the old Pirates of the Caribbean music and they would update that.

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
Gotta slow down the Ramirez train.
-
ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
Who knows. Honestly this series is the World Series to me. Beat Cleveland, make the ALCS. After that, I won't be hurt by any result.

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
When Hudson went in, I got a really bad feeling. That was definitely Venable's worst call of the postseason. What on earth are we going to do with Davis Martin if we get to the next series? Would it make sense to just shut him down and get him ready for next year?
-
ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
Why couldn't we have the 9/1-9/17 version of Hudson (8IP, 6K, 0ER) instead of the 9/18-9/26 version (17 batters faced, 8ER, 0K)
Today

I think they wanted to avoid using Hagen. Starting Hagen is good for clean inning and I think we see Kay again on a very short leash. Using Hudson over Schultz was an awful result in hindsight

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
I mean at worst you grab Ozzie out of the booth and send him down there.
-
ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
There was clearly a scheduling thing with the first pitch, right? Somebody couldn’t make it and they had to scramble last minute.

“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Bold of you to assume he isn't operating with Jerry's full endorsement, cooperation, and advice since Jerry was a complete failure at new stadium #3. Honestly, this might well be Jerry's plan, and he was just too capital poor to get it done. And by bold, I mean totally ignorant of reality.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
People who have been going to White Sox games at Comiskey and the new stadium for generations, as well as residents in the area know where existing train tracks are and where this proposed yard would be. Ishbia's arrogant and outrageous plan should be stopped.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
A half-truth.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Ishbia doesn't own the team. He has an option that may or may not be finalized. Meanwhile, this guy should be stopped from destroying the area around Rate Field as a predicate for this insane, arrogant plan to dig up acres of land from Cermak to 39th S. for a rail yard.

Big name throwing out first pitch tomorrow
Well done.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Yeah, it's not like he is putting a train yard where historically a train yard existed

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
Guess who has tickets at 7pm TONIGHT! ... to Operation Mincemeat...

https://www.nbcchicago.com/chicago-sports-bears-sox-cubs-bulls-blackhawks/bridgeport-students-gifted-tickets-to-see-white-sox-in-game-3-of-alds/3999272/ Ishbia's proposed hostile takeover of neighborhoods in and around Bridgeport and Armour Park is arrogant and shortsighted. He does not know anything about the South side. There have been millions of dollars invested in this area over decades. This guy has to be stopped.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
Because this is a BS negotiation tactic, and they will get something out of it eventually
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
This. I am sure there will be a little give, but they are powerless, which is kind of ironic for the Chicago city council.
-
“The 78” + "The Railyard" = the future of the Sox and Fire
I feel like this is the part being swept under the rug on this thread. Yes, Amtrak can legally fulfill this plan without the city’s expressly given consent, but the city can do a lot to slow down that process. It is well within both Amtrak’s and Ishbia’s interests to do what they can to get the city onboard.

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
Went to the game yesterday THE GOOD: *The atmosphere and the crowd was electric. No one sat for the 1st 2 innings. *Kudos to the people there because no one really left even when we all knew the Guardians had this game. *Noah Schultz and Newcomb were pretty good. THE BAD: *I have no idea who the dude that threw out the 1st pitch was *Poor job of the intro, they needed to bring back the old intro finished by thunder struck. *The game itself and our approach pitching and hitting sucked. That's ok we get another shot today!! Let's Fucking Go!!

White Sox tv ratings only 5% off Cubs/Brewers last year
White Sox-Guardians opened with 2.1 million on Saturday and 2.9 million on Monday, down 5 and 37 percent respectively from last year’s comparable Cubs-Brewers Game 1 (2.2M) and Dodgers-Phillies Game 2 (4.6M). Returning to the Wild Card Series, Phillies-Braves Game 3 last Thursday night averaged a 3.2 rating and 6.13 million viewers on NBC — down 14% and 18% respectively from Red Sox-Yankees Game 3 on ESPN in the same window last year (3.7, 7.44M). Note that nearly half of the Wild Card Series aired on Peacock and NBCSN, figures for which are generally not publicized. That means there are no available figures for either game of the White Sox-Astros or Padres-Cubs series. Dodgers continue to dominate The Dodgers began their quest for a third-straight World Series title with a viewership high. Saturday’s Braves-Dodgers MLB National League Division Series Game 1 averaged a 2.4 rating and 5.37 million viewers on FOX, marking the most-watched LDS Game 1 since Yankees-Red Sox on TBS in 2018 (5.57M) and the highest rated since Guardians-Yankees in 2022. The Dodgers’ win increased 20% in ratings and a third in viewership from Yankees-Blue Jays in the same window last year (2.0, 4.0M). https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2026/10/dodgers-braves-game-1-viewership-high-division-series-roundup/

ALDS game 4, 7pm White Sox vs Cleveland
I know that no one expected the Sox to be where they are, and I am truly happy that they have had such a great season. But, damn, I need them to beat Cleveland...tonight. If the series goes back to Cleveland, the Guardians will have all the momentum. Beat them tonight, then go to Tampa and play your asses off. Let what happens happen.
