  2. Seems like all of the sudden, everything is coming up Millhouse for the White Sox. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6879487/2025/12/15/mlb-technology-change-minor-leagues/?campaign=15965976&source=athletic_thewindup_newsletter&userId=6062851
  3. I don't want to calculate all the tiebreakers here but my quick math tells me that even with a loss against GB they're still automatically in with just a win against Detroit.
  4. The Bears have gone miles above how far they should have reasonably progressed this year. What this really tells us is exactly how bad the coaching was before Ben Johnson got here, that there is THIS much extra winning in the roster vs last year with minimal changes.
  5. Jerry COULD have been doing the deferred spending thing, just like the Dodgers have perfected too, for the exact same reason.
  6. Today
  7. Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle is tragic. That guy was a narrator of my childhood and teenage years, he made and was involved in some of the best movies I have seen
  8. https://www.mlb.com/news/starting-pitcher-trade-candidates-2025-26-mlb-offseason Pros and cons of 7 biggest names on FA pitching market
  9. I’m hoping Jerry might be more inclined to sign some decent sized contracts knowing Ishbia is on the hook for the back half.
  10. Fine, Oliver Twist in keeping with economic allusions.
  11. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articles/ranking-tarik-skubal-trade-suitors-220222310.html 8 top possibilities for Skubal trade
  12. Yeah making the playoffs in any way is house money for this team this year. Seeding and getting a bye would be great things to worry about, but you gotta get in first.
  13. Peter Greene of Pulp Fiction found dead… https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/celebrity/articles/actor-peter-greene-lying-face-184350800.html Rob Reiner and wife stabbed to death, supposedly by their drug addict son. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/2-found-dead-los-angeles-home-owned-director/story?id=128403864 https://people.com/rob-reiner-wife-michele-were-killed-by-son-sources-11868856
  14. Even WestEddy accidentally wrote Oliver Done in one of these threads.. A new nickname to pair with Meadiocre.
  15. Huge beat down and they probably left 3-10 more points out there due to mis field goal and a few drops. Very nice win against a bad team, but a very good defense.
  16. You must be referring to the immortal Oliver Dunn. Just wait till they sign Vinny Crapa back.
  17. He plays a different sport than baseball.
  18. The entire fortune of the organization just changed drastically. The 2025 Sox just had one of the best possible years for a rebuilding team. They found a manager with exciting potential, they identified the foundation of an exciting core of guys, and they landed the first overall pick, in a draft with two elite talents at the top in the best draft class in several years. Rebuilds mean nothing if ownership doesn’t spend the money to augment the roster, but the is rebuild is super promising.
  19. Ah ok, so it's better the Lions lost, I was being greedy and looking for the #1 NFC spot but just making the playoffs would be huge for our favorite franchise going forward. Gotta reel in my mouth breathing Bears fan inside me haha. Love the progress, more improvement needed with Caleb and the defense.
  20. No, that is stupid. The Bears have 10 wins with three games to go. If they lose on Saturday, but won the next two, they aren’t missing the playoffs with 12 wins.
  21. No s%*#. At the time. my thought was that the dude was hitting a ton, every influencer was screaming for him to be called up, I believe that blogs and sports radio even talked about him. I thought the Sox, if they were going to bring him up, do it on the next homestand, maybe sell some tickets. I really didn't believe they'd run out of SRO tix, too. Yeah, maybe if the Sox challenge .500 in 2026, and 2027 comes off without a hitch, Hagen Smith, or Roch draws interest when they're called up.
  22. That doesn't automatically result in more butts in the seats. Just gives fans a reason to watch at home and maybe see something different. It would be surprising if there's even a noticeable increase in tickets sold for a May weekday/night home game when Braden debuts in 2026. Same thing with the Colson and Teel debuts...barely noticed except by diehards. Now if you go back to Moncada Jimenez Kopech and Robert debuting...those were all must see events in the rebuild timeline.
