  1. Past hour

  2. If I’m the Sox clubhouse I’m actually livid that this is the level of commitment they have to winning. Drew Romo even has to know he’s a wasted roster spot.
  3. This almost feels personal. They can work out a post deadline trade no if he clears waivers?
  4. Luis Castillo 33 years old: 2026, 2027 and vesting option for 2028 Huascar Brazoban 36 years old :2026, 2027 ,2028, 2029 Joey Bart 29 years old : 2026 , 2027 Brenton Doyle 28 years old 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 Seems clear the Sox weren't interested in giving up anything for rentals.
  5. Min Quero service time and let him get all the AAA AB doesn't hurt either.
  6. I don’t want to hate on Getz too much here because I like the Bart addition, but this is Hahn level of straight up lying to fans’ faces. 🤣 Let’s be honest… Bart and Romo is the catching tandem of deadline failure.
  7. Oh well. That’s fine too. No loss
  8. felt like quero has been doing better, must be about defense
  9. I updated my previous post. There are other guys in your system to trade for a rental. Wolkow for example. The fact that Getz only obtained players with control beyond this year likely indicates that he wasn’t even considering rentals.
  10. Man, feel a bit for Quero but also not really as he's stunk outside a couple clutch hits. Hopefully Romo can figure something the f*** out and run into a few.
  11. Do you think it's possible that no one wanted Mason Adams for a rental pitcher that would be worth getting in the slightest? Do you think Getz and the front office doesn't know his value to other teams?
  12. Agreed, but pass on Doyle then and use Mason Adams in a trade for a rental pitcher. Or a prospect like Wolkow. The obsession with only obtaining guys with control completely limited Getz in what he could do.
  13. Somebody should have told Getz that when he made the Cease trade.
  14. It’s so hard to give a grade when you aren’t a part of the conversations. Take the catcher position, for example. I wanted Stephenson, but he didn’t even move, which tells me the asking price was too high. I think if Getz traded for Stephenson, my grade for him would be even lower because of who he had to give up. But do I know that for sure? Of course not. Bart very well could have been the best option without giving up too much. And if you upgrade a position of need in the best way possible, then that deserves an A. But it’s crazy to give an A for a Bart acquisition. In summary, I have no clue how to grade it. Strictly in terms of how much better we got, I’d give it a C.
  15. What do you bet our man Doyle ends up hitting like Vargas while playing gold glove defense? The naysayers have been proven demonstrably wrong time and time again, I think the probability that it happens one more time is pretty high.
  16. Honestly, you could question overpaying Castillo for next year but shedding Seranthony’s $12 million salary for next year makes it less of an impact to the payroll. Brazoban was a great trade. Bart was basically free. The Doyle trade is a complete head scratcher.
  17. Im not sure our active roster is any better than it was Friday. In fact the rotation and lineup may have gotten worse. So D. The bullpen looks stacked at least.
  18. FG has us at 43% to win division, Tribe at 30%
  19. That is a certainty.
  20. I would agree - I don’t like losing him…think he is a league average ball player by my guess is they feel / better about Hays stepping up here?
  21. The Cubs and Sox are in very different places with who they are willing to give up, and rightfully so.
  22. There’s gotta be a non-contender that would claim Pereira.
