  1. Past hour

  2. I almost did the same. But after going to Minny and Stl for these guys the last month or so my "travel the midwest for the Sox" budget is tightening up a bit. I'll be at G3 though.
  3. Interesting, having been there in '21 (but not this time.) In some ways you might expect there to have been more support back then, given that it was an easy division winner and a team people considered more "solid" and expected. But on the other hand it's the out-of-nowhere aspect of this team that makes it so appealing.
  4. 1B also isn't covered long-term if they want to move Vargas to 1B eventually for one of the other IFs. DH at bats exist too though I would rather not shove someone that young into a primary DH role. Would rather use that as a spot to rotate and keep guys healthy.
  5. Fedde was just asking for some Photoshop / AI-generated memes.
  6. TruTV has a purpose beyond the initial weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament? Who knew?
  7. I thought it was on both?
  8. "Will Venable has done a masterful job of turning the club around, and now he’ll hope to stun the Guards and secure what would perhaps be the most unexpected ALCS berth in MLB history." www.si.com
  9. “We’re always overlooked, under-appreciated, and disrespected!” *The Sox attract more attention and more casual fans* “f*** off you fairweather fans, this is MY team!”
  10. Can you work on Exorcism ? , just an JR thought.
  11. Today

  12. And we sit absolutely last in MLB in revenue.
  13. It's a quick 5 hour drive from Chicago, hope to see lots of Sox fans in attendance. Was surprised by the turnout in Houston. WAYYYYYYYYY more Sox fans there this time then in 2021
  14. It me, Mr religiosity
  15. It’s almost as if some Sox fans want us to perpetually be a small fanbase, low attendance, small revenue stream franchise. If you’re not from the South Side (specifically south of Cermak) or S/SW suburbs, if you haven’t been a lifelong fan, you’re lesser of a fan. By this insular logic, we’d have the smallest market size by far in MLB.
  16. It is a great place to see a game. A definite favorite of mine.
  17. It's well known that Kyle is the archbishop of Soxtalk
  18. It's not though. That fan base is just destroyed.
  19. And Gage is the Leo of Soxtalk.
  20. The response will be: limited payroll high first round picks every other season competitive balance picks or lack thereof intl operations at best in a transition period To me, you need something like a 5/7 run of making the playoffs, or let's say 3/4 or no worse than 3/5. White Sox have never accomplished that in 126 years. Sustaining success vs. just making the postseason. Even one series win already feels like a massive success compared to how bad things were 2-3 seasons ago.
  21. Oh I can do that
  22. They needed to drive up the price on Skubal and did not. Their deadline pickups looked better than the White Sox but he White Sox played more of the long game. Doyle doesn't look to be the chump I thought he was and they are hoping to make Castillo a 3/4 after a year off. Brazo.. and Bart are also in the team photo. Peralta seems to falter in the playoffs we shall see on him.
  23. It’s like when you’re a serial killer and are on your deathbed. If you ask God for forgiveness for your sins, you can still get into heaven. Admins have the power over SoxTalk heaven and hell.
  24. Yeah, I just had a "f***-it" moment and booked my trip to Cleveland tonight. Hope to see some of you there. I'll be the drunk one in Sox gear
  25. Its crazy that its so much easier to get a ticket in Cleveland than Chicago. Still pondering that decision for Monday.
  26. I don't think that's bandwagon-y. You can be a Sox fan and not fill Jerry's pockets by packing the Rate during 100-loss seasons. Sox fans reward the team with their attendance when they're good, and stay away when they're bad, and I've always respected that about our fanbase. I know tons of hard core Sox fans who are among those who returned to the Rate this Summer. I myself am a certified, lifelong White Sox sicko who went from season ticket-holder in 2022 to boycotting the Rate for a couple of years, to coming back strong in 2026. I too welcome new fans. I have more complicated thoughts about the casual, condescending Cub fan pseudo-support that materializes during Sox playoff runs.
