They can buy low on Petty in a trade with the Reds. He had a rough start but didn't we like him before? Bannister could work with him
-
Exactly. They don't think much of the pitching they currently have both at the top and the guys in the minors if they are this serious about more pitching with the position player situation they have as well.
-
Trade Robert…sign Bellinger to 1 year deal to flip.
-
I disagree. I think he cares whether he plays in mlb or not, but I’m weird that way.
-
They don’t have anywhere near enough pitching to compete if they kept Robert. None of this is about 2026.
-
That tells me what the Sox think of the current pitching situation as they are still thin in position players overall, but especially in the OF.
-
It’s not about 2026
-
If the Sox think any of these guys are worth it, and can get a comp pick in the deal, then do it. Otherwise don’t trade him for players you don’t think will have any impact just to get rid of him.

Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

Once the Chiefs move to Kansas, I wonder if they're going to still be called the Kansas City Chiefs or the Kansas Chiefs. -
I’d rather suffer through 60 games of Derek Hill starting at CF than 160.

Could the Reds be really concerned with Lowders injury issues last year? -

We arent winning 70 games so who cares. Braden doesn’t care -
They gave up a draft pick for Gavin Lux. Not crazy to think we can get one for Robert.
-
IDK why the Sox would want even more guys coming back from TJS. Maybe Bannister sees an easy fix for Petty or something. Trading an outfielder when you already have the weakest outfield group in mlb seems insane. Braden Montgomery has to be thrilled, though.
-
That’s who is starting when Robert goes on the IL. It’s not “if” but “when.”

Let me check my notes… if Sox trade Robert the next man up is Derek Hill. No thanks.
-
Not a single one of those pitchers seems very interesting to me at all. Why would we give the Reds $10M and a real live MLB player for even all three?

Per Passan: White Sox sign Munetaka Murakami 2 years 34M

In reading the tone of the Japanese news media stories, they seem a little surprised by the destination, but quote Murakami extensively as being excited to be a part of a team that's on the upswing. -
They want pitching. I honestly don’t know if Jerry will eat $$ for Cohen
-
Sure. You'd get the same type of return at the deadline anyways. He's not even close to blocking anyone yet you're trading him for the sake of trading him. Any protection and stabilization he can offer to the younger players is worth more than these names.

When's the last time the white sox HAD a free agent press conference of note? Beni? Any before him? -

You know how the Sox work. They’re opening a Japanese pipeline -
Exactly. Time to move on
