Berolla laid down a nice bunt for a single and looked like a central casting shortstop.

Colas seems like a true clown, and if he has an attitude anything like the childish BS you laid out, he should really just quit the game. That's some stinkin' thinkin'. The last I checked, Davis Martin, Jon Cannon and Sean Burke were "young talent".

Are you kidding? Boo-hoo. Then he should play himself into a position where other teams want him. I'd be willing to bet Chris Getz isn't turning down monster returns for Colas.

Yeh, Colas. An opening day slot just opened up. You probably want to lean on the fundamentals and play that ball right.

We all have our favorite pianos. Perhaps it would be wise for Narvaez to leave his in the clubhouse, and not try to run the bases with it on his back.

My best hope is that it's nothing but pushes him back from starting OD with the big club. Let C. Monty rake for a month in AAA, then give him a bobblehead day.- 2/27 - Guardians @ Sox - 2:05 CST

- Which position player will surprise above 100 OPS+ offensively?
Vargas will probably have the longest runway, and most intensive support. I say Vargas.- Sox Spring Training notes
Somebody asked on Twitter, and Grok stepped in with the answer:- 02/26 - Sox vs Padres
I believe that was Wilfred Veras' error that allowed the runner to take 2nd. Hagen Smith was the pitcher who allowed the runner to steal third.- 2025-26 FA Class: How would you spend Ishbia's millions?
David Robertson and the Melk-man did okay. Melky just gave all his production back on the field. LaRoche was the move where Kenny Williams should have just suited up himself and saved some money. Concerning the Melky Cabrera trade, AJ Pucket just pitched for Hermosillo in the Mexican winter league. Did reasonably well in 40 IP, too.- 02/26 - Sox vs Padres
Tristan Gray was the 2B. I know it wasn't Hackenberg's fault, but I believe he took the error on the play. It felt like the scene in Vacation where the camera pans the car trip, back seat, everyone's asleep, front seat, passenger, then Chevy Chase zonked out like a light.- Off-Season Pass the Time Catch-All
Old ex alert: (I just hummed his name to Macarena, and fucked my brain for the day), but Donovan's Lalena came to save the day.- 02/26 - Sox vs Padres
Okay, I guess my very pedestrian recap of yesterday's game (you can still cue it up and watch it on MLB.com) would be as follows: 1) We have 2 exciting pitching prospects in Schultz and Hagen Smith. Rodon comps are bouncing around for Hagen. Much smarter people than me have broken down their outings in this very string. 2) Sean Burke looked fine, as did Bryce Wilson. I'm not concerned about our starting pitching. 3) Steven Wilson threw a clean inning. If his DFA made the Cease trade look worse, this outing makes it look better. 4) Eric Adler is a guy who has some buzz as a future closer. I would have liked him to have not walked 2 batters to create the clutter that enabled Hackenberg's Folly in the 9th. 5) Concerning Burke, I would have liked him to put away Oscar Gonzalez in the 2nd, rather than an 11 pitch at-bat culminating in hard contact. But looking up Gonzalez, the Yankees took him off waivers from the Guardians during the 23-24 off-season, then the Padres signed him as a free agent this last November. Watching that at-bat, I'd think a guy like this should have been Getz's first priority over Austin Slater. Where are our scouts? Did this guy web-stalk some teammate's baby mama? 6) Tristan Gray, Andre Lipcius and Joey Gallo are here to hit. They didn't. 7) I'm kind of surprised at Gray and Jacob Gonzalez falling asleep on that 9th inning stolen base (Hackenberg's Folly). Bone-head play that Gonzalez should have been running laps for after the game. Fielding is Gonzo's carrying skill. If he can't even do that, he's toast. 8 ) I'm wondering how much weight last year's record has on this spring. Everybody says they've turned the page, etc. But plays like Lee's (I know errors happen, and it's early) just feel like they're pressing. 9) Meidroth - I have nothing to say. He's a baseball player; he looked like a baseball player in the field. He hit a high fastball to right field. I was told he can't hit the high stuff. Maybe that was someone else. 10) Circus Vargus. I want this guy to break out so bad. I want him to want to break out so bad. Life comes at you fast. So do baseballs. I was up at 6:00 am this morning. I hope Vargas is, taking grounders this morning. 11) Please hit some baseballs.- 02/26 - Sox vs Padres
Looking at Benintendi, his splits also seem to be pretty much historically neutral. I sure hope Fuller sees something magical in Austin Slater to unlock. - 2/27 - Guardians @ Sox - 2:05 CST
