In the past few I have heard claims that Cease is the top pitching prospect and Elroy is the only challenger to Vlad Jr for rookie of the year. Not bad.

In a lesser light I see three pitchers were signed late October. LHP Ronaldo Guzman is a tender 16 from the DR so he will mature and one day hope to play in their summer league. RHP Evan Marshall is invited to ST age 28 from the D-backs where he amassed a 5.15 ERA and 1.74 WHIP in 101 games. RHP Homer Cruz is 19 from the DR with no pro experience. Marshall will be assigned to Coop's project list.
