I understand that teams have money to spend and many teams are worth a few billion. Teams would not offer money they cannot afford to spend. However I also see the ALC could be in danger of falling off the map, certainly compared to the AL East. Competitive balance could become a serious issue. The cheap teams are as guilty as the big spenders imo. If the big spenders are penalized the cheap teams are also guilty as charged.
