Worth noting that when you google "Yoan Moncada Outfield" there was a 2018 article that said Moncada has some experience in the OF. Rendon is one helluva player, and one that I think would be worth moving Moncada for. People talked about 3B being better for Yoan because there was less to think about, well, I think the same could be said for RF. Rendon has stated that he doesn't see himself playing after 35, so there shouldnt be the risk of him signing an 8 year deal where the last 3 become an albatross. I'd be all in.

Betts is one of a handful of players I take that risk on, yes. With an offense that features Betts, Moncada, Robert, Eloy, Anderson, Abreu/Vaughn, I think you could live with a guy like Scooter Ginnett or even Yolmer at 2B. It may be easier said than done, but you have to let Mookie know that he can play the FA game, but at the end of day we're gonna match any offer he gets.

IF Jerry decides to really open the check book the next 5-10 years, I'm all about taking the risk on Betts. This looks like a very fun team to be a part of, and I think Mookie being here for a year would give them a leg up on the field to resign him. Idk what it'd take, but if they can get it done without giving up any of the pieces already on tbe ML roster or Robert I think I'd pull that trigger. Yes, I'd be comfortable giving up Vaughn OR Madrigal along with anything else in the minors(again outside of Robert).

As I lay here sick in bed I randomly decided to look up the splits of all these LHH RFers that have been discussed as suiters.....They have all been terrible here in Chicago. Is that something that should even be looked at? Is that maybe why a lot of the LH hitters the Sox have brought in have not been all that great outside of elite guys like Thome and Moncada?

Apparently the Red Sox are looking to cut payroll, and an article on CBS sport(Linked at the bottom) suggests that "it'll be impossible to move David Price's and Chris Sale's contracts without attaching prospects to them, and the Sox right now don't have many frontline prospects." My question to you guys would be, what would a deal for Sale, with or without the BoSox attaching prospects look like? Would you do something like Lopez, Vaughn, Stiever, and an OF prospect of their choice not named Robert? Would the BoSox? I'd love to have Sale back to go with Giolito, Kopech, and Cease.
