this team hasn't seemed to play up or down to competition, they have just been steady across the board. I think that month isn't as daunting as you think. Philly is up and down. and the Braves, dodgers and yanks all have injuries. Detroit is a cakewalk and KC and Minny have been proven beatable. IF they come out of June still hovering around .500 they are clearly in the WC chase.

The AL is an absolute s%*# show without any real teams. The Sox can and will beat anyone from the central or West in the playoffs. The Yankees just lost their best starter and the Rays pitchers are way over performing based on advanced metrics. This is absolutely the year that you make a move that not only ignites the rebuild, but potentially also steals a playoff round. Don't t mortgage the future...but add a smart salary dump and a bullpen stud.

the division is in shambles. Minnesota and Cleveland are going to be BAD, Detroit needs their prospects to come up and be successful and I just don't think KC has enough either. I think 78 wins is possible IF they stay healthy and the prospects keep on their trajectory. I know that is optimistic, but that 2nd half was a vast improvement and Venable seems to have a grasp on what they should be motivation wise. So this totally means they win 63 games, because I always overpredict

it really depends on if he just focuses on launch angle and 3 outcome approach...or if he starts to really focus on contact. Option 1 - 3 outcome - 240/310 / 35-40 HRs Option 2 - Contact focus - 265/325 / 25-30 HRs Which one would we like? Based on his previous numbers I think Option 1 is probably more realistic.

So now we have to judge the Robert trade on Acuna and whatever return we get from him also. That makes this a lot better on the optics. Technically they still have another 10 mil this season that should be accounted for also...but im sure that was mura. A really nice move.
