I'm not much of a traveler, but I'd like to see London someday. The downside of seeing London is that the wife would want to see Paris while we're over that way, and I have zero interest in that.

It's as if I already died and I'm looking down (or up....probably up....definitely up) at the many, many loved ones I've left behind.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 09:34 AM) Funny how? Like I'm a clown? Like I amuse you? I'm here to amuse you? You know....you're funny.... No, I DON'T know. YOU said it. You said I'm funny. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 10:21 AM) What's the point, you're poor? And he wants to be sued.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 19, 2007 -> 10:26 AM) OZ: Look we play a game with outfield walls...those walls need to be defended..whose gonna defend them you??.....you Mr Marriotti? I pick the men to defend those walls...we live by words like on-base percentage and defensive replacement...you use them as a punchline. I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Brian and you curse the manager. You have that luxury.... I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a reporter who sells papers on my every move and then questions the manner in which I make them!! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to! The only words I'd change are bolded. Nicely played, CC!

That was typical Sosa, hitting a homer when his team is up big or down big. He is the Anti-Clutch. -

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2007 -> 12:01 PM) There's a Springer studio audience's worth of f***heads in ever generation, including yours there Mr. Critic. You're just at the age that all of the "Young Whippersnappers" really piss you off. Thanks for sharing the story, Texsox... always good to hear. I never said this was a new development, Steve. and for whatever it's worth, SOME "young whippersnappers" have pissed me off since I was one myself. I'm just stating the ratio as I see it.
-
Honestly, I'd rather just be forgotten. ...which will be NO PROBLEM around here...
-
Unfortunately, I believe that for every two kids like that, there's a Springer studio audience's worth of f***heads coming along. I guess that makes me Bearish on America, although to be fair, I think that about people in general, not just Americans.

QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 07:49 PM) he should of grinded I don't want him grinding into the tarp. ...and when used to describe players who try harder than their talent, is the past tense of "grind", "ground"?
-
QUOTE(DrunkBomber @ Apr 17, 2007 -> 07:48 PM) That was nice of Hawk and Dj to thank Crede for not trying to hard to catch that foul They actually (and rightly) thanked him for not throwing himself against the tarp for a foul ball that he tried very hard to run down.

QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 10:16 PM) At least it's not David Arquette winning the WCW championship... right? FWIW, Arquette was reluctant to take the belt, always wanted to make sure he never in any way looked "better" than any actual professional wrestler, and donated his wCw earnings to charities. I don't blame Arquette for his "reign", I blame Russo, the Master Of Ridiculous Booking.

QUOTE(LVSoxFan @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) I hear that. Sorry about the thread. I just wanted to come to some conclusion on all this, since he's been the Imus story of soxtalk. No need to apologize. You know the saying: Don't Hate The Poster, Hate The Post!

QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 08:45 PM) i believe the Sox had the 2nd African American coach behind Brooks Robinson....can't remember his name though I bet Brooks would be surprised to hear THIS news. FRANK Robinson, on the other hand, has known that he's African-American for a while now.
-
I don't care what they do with him, I'm just real tired of seeing his name at this point. He's the new Brandon McCarthy.

HEY. Don't f*** with The Great Santino!!!!

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) ? What, that vague, detail-free post wasn't clear enough for you? -
Wings - Flames. Second verse, same as the first. Kiprusoff was fantastic, but Detroit was better. 3-1 win, 2-0 series lead for the Wings.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 04:55 PM) Pens/Sens game 2 most entertaining game of the playoffs so far. Crosby gets the game winner, Pens win 4-3. Fleury was remarkable late. I agree, that series has been really great so far, and they turn right around and play in Pittsburgh tonight. That third period was a joy to watch. Physical, high-speed hockey with great scoring chances for both teams.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 06:21 PM) I'm seeing Rush September 9th... really I can admit that I can't wait, and I'm not even a huge fan of theirs I'm seeing them on September 8th, I can't wait and I AM a huge fan! I've seen them twice before and they were great both times!

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 14, 2007 -> 12:36 PM) You can somewhat call it hockey on grass, though it takes more of a power play form and it has a shot clock. It's kind of like hockey and basketball combined, especially when it gets into the offensive zone and gets set up. There usually isn't too much fighting nor as much hitting as there is in hockey. But it is entertaining, and you should see a ton of goals, and some unique ones at that. The thing that surprises me about lacrosse is the amount of stick shots they allow. You can basically whack someone at will with your little basket stick. It's an interesting game to watch once in a while, but I can't see myself really getting into it seriously. -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2007 -> 06:15 AM) So as long as something improves the nation its OK? You can't be serious. It doesn't matter whether he contributes something positive or not. Heck spying on Americans can catch terrorists, and not having American die is positive right? So you are cool with giving up your freedoms of privacy and speech then? Hey, man, if ya ain't got nothin' to hide, why would ya mind them spyin' on ya? [/short-sighted, missing-the-bigger-picture response]
