Game Thread: Sox versus Cubs, 3/27/06, 2:00 PM
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 03:28 PM) That was hit even farther than the first. Well gone, oppo field. And one of the Scrub fans throws it back, awesome. That really hurts the guy's feelings, so it makes perfect sense to throw it back. f***ing imbeciles.

Soxabration!
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 27, 2006 -> 02:28 PM) I can't tell if Soxabration is the dumbest word ever or the greatest word ever. Someone help Dumb. Cell-abrating Sox-cess would work better IMO.

More roster cuts made
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) Speaking of relievers is Williamson still on the block... He might be worth a couple of prospects to the cubs... Williamson left Sunday's game with a lower back strain. Threw to one guy (plunked him) and had to leave. Listed as day-to-day, so given the Cubs' track record that means put him on the 60-day DL.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 26, 2006 -> 06:12 AM) You know, at one time I think Megadeth was really on a roll with "Symphony of Destruction" and "Sweating Bullets", and then they just faded faster than a hypercolor t-shirt(ha, im dating myself). Dave Mustain had some good things going on, I wonder what happened. Youthanasia just wasnt up to par after Countdown to Extinction. With Mega-Dave it all comes down to too many lineup changes. But you should check out the last CD they put out, The System Has Failed. I like it a lot. The DVD set is great, by the way!!! ....hypercolor t-shirts..... :puke .........

Logan's looking good again today. Encouraging outing by Lopez today too. ....and of course, he throws four out of the zone right after I compliment him...then gets Pee-Pee Hands to pop out.

Ethical Question...
Maybe you could use their work anonymously after talking it over with them to see if that would be all right with them? If they're not OK with that arrangement, then I wouldn't use them. Your word to them is important, and without their consent I think it's wrong to go back on it.

Texas arresting people for being drunk...
I hear the next plan is to start giving traffic tickets in parking lots and arresting people for spousal abuse at wedding chapels.

Blackhawks trying to kick own asses
If they want to kick their own asses, they should pretend that they're Red Wings.

I liked the part where you said Boone Logan is a better bullpen option than Javier Vasquez. We all know you meant Javier LOPEZ.....

Some shake-up to occur?
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Mar 23, 2006 -> 06:50 AM) That people would piss themselves over spring numbers and results when they don't mean a thing. Comparing Iguchi's spring to Cintron's is especially hilarious considering how much earlier Cintron prepared and the type of work he got in the WBC and then comes back and rakes. Tons of players from the WBC are doing the same thing. I love it. Then maybe Iguchi should have played in the WBC, because he's been looking pretty awful most of the time. I'm hopeful that he can pull it together soon, and he's had some decent at-bats that suggest he will, but if he can't I'd be more than happy to see Cintron out there at 2B. He's done everything well since arriving from the WBC.

Anybody going to Cinncy?
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 21, 2006 -> 08:49 AM) Cleveland is a great place to see a ballgame, just one piece of advice with you being the crabby old dude that you are ... Don't sit in the LF bleachers, because you will want to kill the guy on the tom-tom by the end of the game. Also there are some solid bars to drink around the area of the ballpark, explore and enjoy, especially because the traffic after a ballgame kinda sucks around there. Wait it out. LOL, that's where we're sitting! I'll try to contain my legendary anger. and Kid Gleason has already suggested the Great Lakes Brewery. I showed the website to my wife and she was like "eh, it seems okay, but we have lots of those places in Wisconsin". So I took that as "lukewarm". I'll suggest the Chop House too.

Not going to Cincy, but in July I'm going to Cleveland. The wife wants to see the RnR Hall Of Fame and I got some tickets to see The Enemy play against Seattle.

Williams, Cooper coveted Thornton
I have all the faith in the world in The Don. I just don't have faith yet in Thornton. I hope The Don sees something fixable in Thornton's delivery, which I'm guessing he does, since he's been asking for him.
