I enjoyed show #2 even more than show #1. The joking and comraderie between you is starting to really show, and will improve even more as you get more comfortable with everything. Great work, guys, keep it up!

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 15, 2006 -> 12:25 AM) Happy Birthday, glad you had a good day. Why does it say you're born on March 3rd, 1988 though? Because he's usually late for school (doesn't make the lights) and misses part of math class? Happy Birthday, kid! 17 years old, huh? That was 1980 for me.......oh, crap, am I old.....

The most amazing thing I heard all spring was when Pat Hughes and Ron Santo were saying "Maybe it's as simple as this: Mark Prior might not be a Spring Training pitcher. He's going to be there for you when the season starts, but for some reason he just doesn't seem to need Spring Training". And they were SERIOUS. It really is incredible how quickly Prior went from Mr. Perfect Pitching Motion to The Glass Messiah.

My cousin told me last night he enjoys the comedy of Larry The Cable Guy. I worry about my cousin sometimes.

I would never use the "hot beer" faucet.

I've heard that they'll be mailed out around March 20th or so.

Yeah, I heard the first period on my way to work tonight. Khabibust gets owned again. I'm guessing that no one wanted Khabibust until they could see if he was healthy. Too bad for the Hawks - it appears that the "Goal-In Wall" was merely a beneficiary of the Tampa system. EDITED to put the second "e" in beneficiary.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 10:46 PM) libel That is just straight up libel One can only hope the Sox clubhouse is graced by a legend such as Jose Valentin again. The clubhouse is fine, just don't have him "grace" the shortstop or third base area. I do not miss "Hands Of Stone", JosE6 Valentin.

Nope - my first game is the Ring Ceremony. I'll be at work during Opening Night. I can see USCF in the distance from work, though, so I'll see the fireworks.

Anderson = not Pods. Maybe the track is muddy from yesterday?

OK, I just saw the Arctic Monkeys on SNL, and I'm completely unimpressed. Something about "You'd look good on the dance floor". I'd rate it as "average". Their image is nothing out of the ordinary either. They look like everyone else. I don't understand the big whoop about them.

QUOTE(beck72 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:24 AM) Mack can't be everywhere. He should get most of his AB's in the OF and some at 2b. Cintron will get his at 3b, SS and 2b. I think it comes down to which player needs to be protected, seeing how little either Gload or Joe B would play. My guess is Thome and PK. Who better to provide protection for these two key players than a backup 1b man? I don't disagree. The last thing I want to see is Thome getting hurt needlessly. Although I don't mean to imply that I think Jim is fragile or anything like that. I personally feel that he'd be able to play 1B once or twice a week with no problem. It's just a matter of risk vs. reward. Do the Sox want to risk putting their everyday DH out there, or would they rather use another option? If it's the latter, then Ross definitely has the upper hand IMO.

QUOTE(beck72 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:23 AM) The only thing in the papers about this is Ozzie has said is that they don't plan on playing him at 1b in the spring. And that Ozzie didn't want him getting hurt playing 1b. This leads me to believe that Gload will come up north. Why risk Thome getting hurt playing the field when the sox need his bat all season long? Thome out at 1b diving and throwing could get him hurt. Stick him at DH, where he doesn't have to throw [so as not to put stress on his healing elbow] and move around as much. Why increase the risk of injury playing the field when you don't have to? Good point, but I'll add that the Sox have made a point of mentioning that Mack and Cintron could play 1B. I think it'll come down to which area Ozzie feels more comfortbale with (OF backups vs. 1B backups) as far as Borch vs. Gload is concerned.

I agree that it depends on the situation, as well as variables such as who's pitching, who's been used lately, stuff like that. But I think most situations will lead to Mackowiak. It's pretty damn nice to have multiple reliable options off the bench, though.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 01:41 AM) where'd they get a wheelchair that size? I'm guessing there's some sort of medical supplies company that builds them that size. Either that or it was custom-built.

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 10:32 PM) Wasn't Boom-boom in one of the original Miller Lite commercials? Yeah, I remember him being in a couple of those.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone in two days. So they're saying Coke helps digestion? I replaced the majority of my Coke consumption with water a few weeks ago and I generally feel better, my pants fit better and I don't get that mid-day drag anymore.

Khabibust pulled already. Here comes the furious 3rd period comeback....

Just heard Billy Gardner talk about the passing of Bernie Geoffrion. Died on the day they're retiring his number in Montreal. R.I.P. Boom-Boom

It doesn't matter to me what religion he is, what accent he uses, or what the lyrics mean. That song gives me a headache. If people like his music (and it appears many do), that's fine - I'm just not one of them.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 10:23 AM) Dowd changed locker rooms, and then promptly got an assist. On the eventual game winner, no less. A feeling he didn't have often in that other locker room.
