  1. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Feb 23, 2006 -> 10:27 AM) "DUDE, NICE GUNS!!! You gotta show me your workout!!!"
  2. Here are some ideas from a website I just found: The Hustle - Van McCoy Love's Theme - Love Unlimited Orchestra Feels So Good - Chuck Mangione Rise - Herb Alpert Popcorn - Hot Butter That's all I can stand, so you're on your own.....
  3. FWIW, there was a very optimistic article in the Sun-Times this morning, suggesting that Wood is ahead of schedule and Wade Miller is also progressing nicely. Wood was supposedly popping the heater in there pretty good, not holding back. Like I said, take that for what it's worth, but they seem to really believe that Wood will be in the rotation sooner than later. His history makes me wonder how long he'll stay there, though...
  4. "I'm feeling great, feeling strong. At this point, if you lined up the 2005 Scott Podsednik with the 2006 Scott Podsednik, they would be neck and neck." So he's saying if he raced himself, it would end in a tie??
  5. I'm sure he'll wear his "respectable" suit and glasses to the sentencings. "See, he's reformed, Your Honor!!!!" :puke
  6. QUOTE(wilmot825 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 04:39 PM) http://bringbackthewolf.blogspot.com/ Join the fight for the Wolf I'll pass too. I've never really found him all that funny.
  7. QUOTE(3E8 @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) I think he may turn into the new whipping boy. He has a strange pattern of only showing up for one month of the season. I just checked his splits, and throughout his entire career he's only had one bad month per season. I think he's going to be just fine. Wishful thinking? Maybe, but I really don't think so.
  8. The "Mack Daddy" is going to quickly become the favorite player of a lot of Sox fans. He will be what Graffanino was, and then some.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 22, 2006 -> 10:08 AM) Sheesh, out of all the people I've seen on reality tv Nick Lachey is up there as Most Normal. Yeah, if he appeared dizzy it was probably from rolling his eyes every 15 seconds at the latest dips*** remark to come out of that dope's mouth.
  10. I'm VERY excited to see how McCarthy does out of the pen. Will this season GET HERE ALREADY!!!!!

    Spring Break

QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 05:15 PM) That's why I lie about my age and say I'm 50. I am a cool grandpa, not some creepy middle age guy. "Cool grandpa" = Speedo = creepier than any creepy middle age guy.
  12. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 05:07 PM) I use to say that the baseball season in Chicago started when the Bulls played their last game and ended when the Bears played their first. As I've gotten older, and moved from Chicago, baseball has become my #1 spectator sport. My thing used to be that since baseball and hockey overlap, I had no use for any other sports. Since the Pointless Work Stoppage of 2004, I have to say my hockey fandom has decreased. Add the futility/stupidity of the SlackHawks to the mix and it's a damn good thing the Sox won it all. They've kept me giddy all winter long!
  13. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 03:30 PM) No one cares. I'm finding that out.... :finger
  14. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 03:17 PM) March Madness. I'll watch the WBC before I watch college basketball. It just does nothing for me. Not bashing the NCAA tourney, just stating my preference.

    Spring Break

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 02:48 PM) I wouldn't call it a 'spring break' trip, but I hope to go back to Cali. for the Coachella music fest. I'll probably bounce around in L.A, SD and Josha Tree too while I'm there. We GET it, we get it......you're going to Coachella......
  16. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) I hate the tease. I keep looking at the calendar and seeing Opening Day. That is still a long way off. Spring Training makes it seem even longer to me. I could ignore the baseball news when it is all rumour and financial stuff, but this is actual leather and wood. Oh, I disagree. When I see those pictures from Arizona, I can just FEEL the season coming! When there were 6 inches of snow on the ground ( not that YOU'D know... ) and all we had to watch is the stumbling Bulls and the bumbling Blackhawks, THAT's when it felt like baseball season would never get here!!
  17. Good. Let's get the Sox involvement down to 0 players. The real prize is not some meaningless tournament.

    Spring Break

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) There's lots of creepy old dudes in Key West, and no one there really pays any attention to narcs (or so I'm told). KID GLEASON, YOUR PLANE IS BOARDING!!!!
  19. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 12:35 PM) White Rappers are cool I know you're being sarcastic, but I submit to you..... 3RD BASS!!! "pop pop goes the weasel, the weasel....pop goes the weasel and the weasel goes pop!"

    Spring Break

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 11:19 AM) Spring Break??? I'm 35...do I still get one of those? I'm going to tell the boss I'm going to Cabo Wabo for Spring Break, see if that one flies. No, you don't get one anymore. If you go to Spring Break at YOUR age, you'll be taken for a creepy old dude or a narc, or both!
  21. Plus, the Magic Mirror would NEVER call him "Kevin". "IT'S K-FED, YO!!!!"
  22. I loooooooooooooooooove the left-center HR by a lefty hitter! My two favorite AJ homers were both L-C shots: The walkoff vs. The Dahhhhjazz and The 1st inning bomb vs. The Red Cubs in the ALDS. Nothing prettier than a bomb to left-center by a lefty hitter, I'd say.
  23. QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 07:53 AM) Thus the reason Rob M is on the team. Figure to see Mack on the field for basically as much as a starter. He will be filling in for someone almost every day. Yep, the Mack Daddy will be one bizzy muthaf***a!!! Infield glove? Check. Outfield glove? Check. First baseman's glove? ....maybe....
  24. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) 6:20 am. heh. Even worse, I saw the report on a TV at work! Been here since 4:40 am. But I get to leave at 1:30 pm.
  25. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Feb 21, 2006 -> 09:17 AM) Why do some people want to see him break the record? I'm not trying to start an argument. I would just really like to know why someone would want a scumbag/racist/cheater to take the record away from a class act like Hank Aaron. I agree. Aaron is a much better human being than Bonds, that's why I hope Bonds falls short of 755.
