  1. But to be fair, the Sox were actually only THREE games out, if memory serves... ...so see, it's different!
  2. If you're okay with C-Lee standing there admiring it when it DOES go over the wall, then NO complaining from you when he gets thrown out at 2nd cuz he admired one that didn't clear the wall, and NO complaining from you when he has to stay at first on the same kind of hit instead of reaching 2nd or 3rd by running hard on contact. For all the whining in the past from Sox fans about this team not doing the little things correctly, it's hard to fathom the lackadaisical attitude about Lee doing the same stupid s*** over and over. I am NOT discounting the fact that he has improved his game tremendously, especially on defense, but this homer hotdogging is one of the brain cramps he still has on a regular basis. I guess I should just expect it from him and forget it, but it doesn't seem that difficult to me - hit the ball, run hard, see the twirling finger from the ump, run less hard....simple stuff.
  3. No interest in seeing it. I didn't see the first one, either. Hope everyone who sees it enjoys it, though!
  4. Can the Sox sweep the Twins? Yes, unless they lose today.
  5. Cut it out, you're gonna be called a CLOSET YANKEE FAN if you keep that up!!! Right now, I'd be happy just to win the division and go from there. Cart before the horse and all that.... Peter Gammons is a jackass, by the way. Always has been, always will be. He probably thought he was being asked about the RED Sox...
  6. Aaaaaaahhhh.....the SWEET SOUND of logic!!! I'm not going to worry one bit about the standings until September - I'm just going to watch and enjoy the White Sox.
  7. How many of those TVs got into fights????
  8. here comes the point....here it comes......closer..... WHOOPS....you missed it. I don't think ANYONE is saying that anyone has to accept it. MY opinion is that you have to be smart about it. Confronting drunks is NOT smart. Contacting security discreetly is. Avoiding them when possible is. It DOES happen everywhere, and "alcohol is bad, mmmmkay?". It's simply a REALLY stupid thing to do, confronting two neanderthals with the whole "watch your mouth, I'm a cop" routine. I just can't believe they weren't tossed for epithetting the usher and mouthing off to security. IF that's true, right there is where the security screwed up.
  9. DINGDINGDINGDINGDING!!!!! THAT is the solution - examples need to be made of these asswipes. At the old Stadium, they had a lockup in the basement that was notorious for taking the subhumans down there and giving them an "adjustment". That obviously will never fly anymore, given today's hyper-litigious society. But if you give REAL punishment to dickheads, future potential dickheads may have a moment of clarity through the alcohol-induced fog and realize that it ISN'T worth it. As things stand, all they stand to get from their actions is notoriety among their dips*** cro-magnon friends, and THAT's probably what they want anyway. I occasionally wear the other team's colors at a game, and will always respond to a taunt with some sort of self-depricating wisecrack. Finding a comical way to put them off their guard works REALLY well in my experience. In this case, since the Burbank cop's family weren't seated near the foul-mouthed dopes, they could just as easily walked past the Tard Brothers and simply told their kids later "that kind of language is NOT nice, and I don't want to ever hear you use those bad words". If they were seated in the same area as Dumb and Dumber, you can notify security that your ballpark experience is being compromised, and after enough complaints something will HAVE to be done.
  10. That's the biggest reason the Sox got swept. Another big reason was that Piniella got into Manuel's head, and maybe Manuel was intimidated by the bigger stage. Winning without your best stuff is a major quality of a good pitcher, and Loaiza did just that on Sunday. He bore down and toughed out a win against a good team. Am I a BIT concerned about Loaiza as compared to last year? Maybe, but 8-3 is still good enough for me, and I'll gladly wait and see what this rotation can do in the postseason. I'm confident that if Buerhle/Garcia/Loaiza/Garland get there, they'll make it tough on whoever they face.
  11. And an 87mph fastball just below the knees, at that. Sometimes a hitter simply hits a decent pitch. Offerman seemed to be sitting on the frisbee, and Shingo dealt fastball after fastball and got him to swing late on a high one. Shingo is a crafty pitcher, and his pitches have good movement. I think he'll be fine.
  12. Plus, his arm will win fans over, and he's only going to get better at calling games as he gains even more experience. Miguel's best days are yet to come, for sure.
  13. Wow, that's a high horse riding off.... Let me just say that I feel for everyone involved....the family of course, but even the poor delusional mother of the brain-dead brothers....the poor workers at the local hoosegow, who now have to watch over two more miscreants....the usher who was racially epithetted - NO ONE has spoken up for the usher.....the security team who undoubtedly took some verbal and physical blows as well in their attempt to clear the area and end this altercation.....the beer vendors who are going to take a verbal BEATING for "overserving" these cementheads....the Indian fans who were on the recieving end of these imbeciles' original expletive-filled rant......and finally, I feel for a society that can CREATE this type of angry, disfunctional, racially hate-filled, violent, awful creatures.....for WE as a society ultimately pay the price for the actions of these individuals.....we feel less safe in our surroundings, we must shield our children from the words and actions of these people, we must think and re-think the mere idea of a peaceful night out at a baseball game because people like these two dopes are EVERYWHERE, just waiting to ruin what SHOULD be a peaceful and enjoyable family experience. God help us all - or if you're an atheist, Nothing help us all.... My moral compass is now spinning out of control. Arrivaderci....
  14. Must not be a "Sox town" anymore....
  15. They'll be plenty happy about it when they see Miguel throwing everyone out, and when Reed gets up there to hit behind Ichiro. And apparently, when Morse arrives to take over at 2B - I had no idea people were high on Morse. I'd never heard of him before. They'll be fine....especially if Freddy back-stabs the Sox and returns to Seattle next year....
  16. "prospects who could step in" A recent draft pick cannot step in anytime soon. I'm hoping that 27-year-old Ben Davis can do the job, but he doesn't really get my energy up right now. He had the starting job in Seattle all but handed to him this spring and ended up back in the minors. I am very hopeful that a new team and new situation will get him straightened out.
  17. Jackass Jay is a windsock, and he flip-flops at the drop of a hat. If the Sox lose 2 of 3 to the Twinkies, he will say how they blew their chances, the trade for Garcia means nothing anymore, the Twins have ALWAYS been superior, Garcia shouldn't re-sign here, etc etc etc. I couldn't care less if those dopes on ATH ever mentioned the White Sox. Who f***in' needs 'em?
  18. No offense, but the Bradford-for-Johnson connection is an odd logical leap. I agree with the premise of your rant, and I'm not against the trade at all. It's just too bad that Olivo had to be in that deal. If we had any prospects who could step in, people might not be AS disappointed about it.
  19. Tyson went from street urchin to street thug to street fighter to street bum. Next logical step? Street casualty.
  20. I love the Cure, but they are BOOOOOORRRRING in concert. Stay home, put on a Cure CD and prop up the CD cover in front of you - same thing.
  21. The Score bites ass. I never listen to them. I don't like Jackass Jay or Jim Rome's Retard nation, but 1000 has a lot better choices, not to mention ( for now ) White Sox Baseball!
  22. I'll be at that game, so I'll try my best to release the Mojo!!

No, the site he was at starts with a W and ends with an I... ...BUT I'M NOT GONNA TELL YOU WHAT IT IS!

    Jackass Jay

I'd have to choose Britney, because at least the mental picture while you listen would be okay. The mental picture while hearing Jackass Jay is either of him ( a little stubby Eddie Munster lookalike ) or of your choices of suicide.

    Jackass Jay

On the lead-in to his blahblahfest, Jackass Jay had THIS to say: ( paraphrasing, by the way - I can't remember the exact words, but I remember the more pertinent ones ) "Okay, so I predicted the Cubs would sweep this weekend....so call me up to rub it in....okay...I'll resign from my job and find something else to do, right?...yeah, sure..." What a dips***. If they HAD swept, his typical worthless "I'M RIGHT, I'M THE VOICE OF REASON AND TRUTH" rant would already be a promo, played 1,000,000 times this week. But when he's wrong.....AGAIN...AS USUAL....then he tries to brush it off with sarcasm. Predictable blowhard defensiveness.
