Anything they do to make the outside look less like a spaceship is OK by me. I also don't mind losing the cheapest seats, since I didn't like sitting in them that much anyway. The 2pm Sunday start is a decent idea - gives families a chance to go to church and then head out to the game in time. And it REALLY IS important to read why it's cool to be a sCrUB fan... Oh, irony alert!!! My boss couldn't believe that I wasn't paying attention to the sCrUBS' March To The Series. He kept telling me that I was "missing HISTORY IN THE MAKING". So I asked him if he saw Josh Beckett's performance earlier this week, and he said "Oh, I'M NOT WATCHING the World Series". So I said, "BUT YOU'RE MISSING HISTORY IN THE MAKING". His reply? "The Marlins don't deserve to be there - ONLY the Cubbies deserve to be there". I left it alone - I can't try to debate that retarded "logic". Cub fans.....

Sounds about right.....41-41....they HAVE to win more road games than last year ( they COULD NOT lose more ) and they'll do pretty well at home, so .500 is a reasonable expectation. They have some veteran leadership in Pippen, Marshall and Gill, and the Three C's will be back ( Curry Chandler and Crawford ), as well as Fizer returning. This team COULD do some damage if things fall into place like I think they might. At least there's ONE winter team to get a little excited about in Chicago...

What he SHOULD have said, instead of "I just want to be able to walk in ten years" ( gimme a f***in' break, by the way ) is "I just don't want to discourage any other teams from signing me next year by getting carted off the field". He is a jackass, and I really hope nobody signs him next year.

Josh Beckett is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Of course, they may have a little something to do with what he did last week. But he's a gamer and he says the right things, in my opinion. If Burnett can come back effectively next year, Florida is going to have a TOP-NOTCH starting rotation ( Willis can be a fine 4th or 5th starter, but I don't think he'll be as successful as he was when he came up ).

From what I read and saw on TV, one of the bigger reasons he was dealt was because they didn't like his leadership, or preceived leadership. They wanted to "get his stamp off the franchise" and go in a different direction. He's a fairly talented basketball player, he just isn't very selective with his shot.

You know, I'm already OK with the name change. The "new Comiskey" would have never been MY Comiskey Park anyway. Just like the United Center, USCF will just become the name in time, without any negativity. Really, the only thing that would have made the name change easier to accept would have been re-naming it when it was built, but naming rights weren't for sale back then, or if they were they weren't all the rage like now. Of course, the renovations are making the acceptance easier and quicker. JR would NEVER have done any of this without US Cellular's $$$.
