What if Yermin Mercedes keeps hitting?
I am still pissed about watching AJ Reed get at bats in 2019 that could have gone to Collins and Mercedes.

I'm with you. I struggle to see the logic in not playing the service time game, but also not putting him in the lineup.

White Sox vs A's 3:05 PM
Man. Looked like he put himself in decent position, too. Not like he ran into the wall because he was unaware where he was on the field

Pritzker: 60% capacity is close
From what I've read, a March uptick in cases was to be expected. *Hopefully*, we will see that the deaths and ICU hospitalizations trends not increase as much as the cases this time around, due to having so many seniors and at-risk individuals vaccinated. I guess we'll see soon enough.

You said "vaccination doesn't prevent transmission." That's almost certainly wrong. I don't really see what's hard to comprehend about this. That "opinion piece" cited actual data, by the way. If you have any data to support the notion that vaccination does not prevent transmission, let's see it. You also said that the vaccines don't prevent infection, and that's already been pointed out to you as being wrong. So yeah, you're definitely spreading BS.

Certainly seems to be a mystery to you, given that you were spreading false information in this very thread. My point, which you seem to have missed, is that if we are telling people they can still spread the vaccine and can't go back to normal after being vaccinated, less people are going to be lining up for the vaccine. That's just human nature. Here's a couple links that might explain it better: https://www.cleveland.com/opinion/2021/03/time-to-flip-the-switch-on-covid-19-vaccine-messaging-jim-sollisch.html https://www.vox.com/future-perfect/22291959/covid-vaccines-transmission-protect-spread-virus-moderna-pfizer

My fiancee was knocked on her butt for about 12 hours with a fever, chills, etc. Symptoms were gone in the blink of an eye after that, though and she was fine.

What you described with your wife (sorry to hear that and I genuinely hope she's doing well), isn't really relevant to the point. They didn't study if vaccinated people can spread the disease when the vaccines were being tested and developed, so they aren't able to come out and say it. So instead, they started saying "we can't say for sure if vaccinated people can spread the virus. It's possible." Somehow, the covid stans turned that into "vaccinated people can still spread the virus! Wear two masks even if you've been vaccinated! Don't plan on getting your life back anytime soon!!!1!one!!." And of course the natural result of that is a ton of people saying "well hell, why bother getting vaccinated then?" And that sucks, because we need as many people as possible to get the shot as soon as possible for the good of public health. The vaccine won't 100% eliminate transmission, because it doesn't 100% eliminate infection - but it will SIGNIFICANTLY lower transmission. Evidence is accumulating showing this.

People need to stop spreading this horseshit. It's infuriating, and it's wrong. On top of that, you're discouraging people from getting the vaccine, which we badly need people to do to reach herd immunity. Evidence is mounting that covid-19 vaccines will significantly hinder the spread of covid. Do some research on it.

Sox sign Adam Eaton 1 year, $7m plus option
I am simply astonished they would sign Eaton over someone like Joc, who would presumably come at a reasonable cost. What a gut punch.

Calm down, man. Harold made a tongue in cheek comment. You're smart enough to know he isn't actually in favor of tolerating drunk driving.
