Detroit is not as bad as made out to be be at all - and the skyline is not at all bad I'm not pro Detroit but I did live there once, go back enough to see the Sox, and I am anti antiDetroit

lets not forget all those uber athletes like Strom Thurmond breeding themselves into the DNA to make Jimmy the Greek's racial theories even more valid

no a president can serve two terns and less than one-half of term in which the president succeeded to the office by the vacancy in the presidency; serve more than one-half of a term, and that same person can only be elected once yes Clinton could be vice president for two terms

Comerica Park is fortunately aligned so that their basebaths are as baseball recommends them, as they must be as Rex pointed out, and because of luck, allowed to have a great view of the Detroit skyline. and every day Tiger fans post on their boards how lucky they are and you know every home game they sell an extra 20,000 tickets just for the view.

that is the way that I have always understood it

A "Michigan man" would have written And yes, that is illegal, it happens, and when it happens at Michigan, we fire the coaches and ADs involved and self-report to the NCAA. It never should have happened and that the program was out of control is of great concern and embarrassment. One can say about that all one will. It will not be allowed to happen again. It never should have happened. Chris Webber will never be welcome back at UM and he should thank his whatever it is he thanks that Ed Martin died before the trial. The analogy to 'ok, lets do it in baseball' fails, because stuff like this always outs.

Rick Hahn negotiated with MB for 2003, no doubt he did for 2004 - so Steff let me know when you verifiy that - thanks!

happens all over the place my employer defended a client accused of shall we say porking a pig - caught by his wife - she called the state police but also called the slaughter house to get the offending pig out of sight - well, when the "victim" was bacon there was no longer proof and the jury voted to acquit last year a neighbor lawyer had a case when husband and wife waged part of their divorce battelt over did she actually stroke off, f***, and suck the horse on her own or ar his instigation, and did he put his fist in the female horse's home of horsey pleasure just a few inches or all the way up. As clergy I got called into to counsel with the hubby. The court decided that fault would not be an issue in the divorce that that the wife did all she did on her own so the husband got the kids. And not a good year when we don't have a case like that out here. I have fiun stories for the peole who sit next to me in slow baseball games... and you city people think you are the swingers

Pacoriek returned to Detroit to confront the sexual abuse that he and two of his brothers received at the hands of a priest at a parish in Detroit, and became very active in calling for accountability of the heirarchy as well as encouraging other victims to enter into support groups and not be afraid of being public about what happened to them - Paciorek also did some therapy because he felt that if had spoken out, his brothers would have been spared - only the youngest Pacoriek boy, the one who played for UM, was spared from that priest's abuse Once Tom got his things going there, he got back into baseball more - along the way he did the occasional Tiger game and aboz has updated you since then link another link Tom criticizes Vatican coverup Tom speaks out

wait until you see the dude carrying around his seats from old Comiskey to get signed - and all the security things we do now, it always amazes me to see everyone in line at SoxFest with their bats - if 1,000 people with bats lined up anywhere else in America, the police and SWAT teams and riot squads would be there so fast... you can also buy jersies there or bring your own, get it autographed, and then get names and numbers put on very cheaply

Explanation has been used for years that white people sure didn't mean hate when they used the word "n*****." If you or anyone have such a strong need to call friends by sexual terms that carry connotations of hate speech, then the issue has nothing to do with soxtalk. Out of original decisions reinforced by experience some things are jsut as they are here and that is just one of them. There are so few things that soxtalk asks of people and yet the same tired old issue gets repeated again and again. Must be another agenda at work. Respect for others - is it so difficult to live with. There are so many words out there that can be used to insult others - why the constant refrain to use a few particular words that experience has verified we are best not to have here?

your official good news for the day - I cancelled my reservations this morning for various and sundry reasons. Zach23 and zach61, Steff, CK, RPS, etc., will miss you all - will see you opening day however unless you successfully hide from me - this will probably be the last SoxFest ever because without me buying all the crap I usually do, the vendors will make no money. if there were another SoxFest though I will make that one in 2005.

but thanks to computers and photo copiers they just keep coming (notice how I avoided saying yours is the usual American right answer to facts... I avoided that because you a cool guy! )

not totally true the 1935-36 version of Dachau is in Guantanamo. Please note the very specific years I list. And please note: beyond that, I would tend to agree with you although I might debate the Patriot Act versus some 1933-1934 legislation in Germany. But beyond that, no analogy.

given that I have a son in the Marines, one could list a lot of derogatory and degrading adjectives for those in the military. Or for anyone. Why does one bother to do that?

you were responding to the comment - when it was first posted, that same person refered to the site as "childish" and who could disagree with that. It only became a "hate site" when it suited his political or personal agenda. Absolutely no justification for calling it that. Had it been a site with pictures of Steve Spurrier or Monica Lewinsky or Ted Kennedy or Dennis Kucinich, he not only would have emailed it to all of his friends, but had it as his screen saver as well.

nor should it be, nor should it be the last
