We are ignoring that Jerry didn't want James Shields (he can read stats, after all), but went along with Hahn in getting him, and to boot gave away Tatis to save a buck. So Hahn pulled the strings in that one. Jerry should nixed it when he had the thought. The guy doesn't even get it right when he knows better.

A great catcher might have had a shot at the second one, but the first was CRAZY wild. He's hard to hit, but he still scares me every time I see him on the mound where it counts. Grandal is far from great at his position. Remember when we were being fed the line about his pitch framing skills? Who cares if he's bad at catching a baseball?

He'd be a great two spot hitter if there was anyone who could work a count and run a little to lead off. A clog like Vaughn in the two spot does nothing for me. Anderson, if he comes back, should be in the nine hole. But if AB's all we have with a reasonable OBP, so be it.

Just an old guy’s recall here but didn’t JR have Schuyler on the payroll as a sore armed pitcher with a small but unbreakable contract so he made him pitching coach? GM was the next stop.

Do you know what the partnership agreement says about passing JR's authority to his heirs? It can't be automatic, can it? Any lawyers around here: Can a partnership continue if a partner dies? Or does a new agreement have to be enacted? A partnership isn't a corporation, we all know.

Since Young Jerry was devastated by the loss of his beloved Dodgers this may be a bad example. It might be the only reason that he hasn't moved the team.
