  1. If it were truly moot, there’d be no point in paying any attention to the team until then, yet here we all are anyway.
  2. Well that’s me, so yeah.
  3. I would absolutely love a book and/or documentary on the 2019-2024 Chicago White Sox.

Okay so then something worse than a lottery ticket, which further emphasizes my point.

While I don’t think they’ll get anything interesting for him, I can understand better teams preferring to acquire him for a lottery ticket prospect later in the season when they’re ready for him to eat innings rather than signing him earlier and clogging up a roster spot when the need might not be as critical.
  6. I understand the concept of needing a body on the pitching side. You need guys to eat innings. But finding yourself in a position where you “need a body” at first fucking base is so pathetic.
  7. One question I have with regards to Ryan Noda is “WHY?”
  8. 10 homers isn’t that many. It just feels like a lot because that’s how bad the team is.
  9. He does not care
  10. Sure, because constantly hearing positive things about a 95 win team is based in reality and not trying to sell a shitty product.
  11. I can’t believe there’s still two more years on Benintendi’s contract AFTER this year. It feels like he’s already been here for 9 years.
  12. For the not hustling part for sure, but threatening the manager feels a little out of character for those guys.
  13. You think they’re trying to justify the $1 million combined that Capra and Noda are making?
  14. None of us know if that’s all Venable or if he’s receiving direction from Getz. And if it is Venable, Getz has done nothing to override those decisions. Thats all to say that I’m willing to give Venable some benefit of the doubt, but Getz not so much.
  15. Obviously Getz. What does that have to do with Venable?
  16. Imagine being told in 2021 that in 4 years, every player from the team will be gone but TLR will still be with the organization. That’s just fucking cruel.
  17. BREAKING: Aaron Civale requests trade from White Sox
  18. Fair. But they were massive successes, until they weren’t. I’m not declaring them victories or anything, I’m just not interested in waiting 5 years down the road to be invested in them when they look good now. It’s just more fun for me that way and lord knows we can all use a little more fun as Sox fans.
  19. Well except for him. And Shane Smith. And Meidroth. And Quero. And
  20. I get that that’s what you were saying, I just don’t hear it that way.
  21. ? Vargas is good, its a good story, and the Sox haven’t had many of those.
  22. Dang. It’s barely been a year and I’m already Remembering Some Guys.
