  1. I think "post championship" is doing more heavy lifting here than "no dan ryan." If you have to rely almost solely on the team being championship caliber to draw well, then your ballpark is just not really that attractive.
  2. What in the WiFi passwords am I looking at here? 😵‍💫
  3. Eerily similar to the Sox and Cleveland in 05. 15.5 game lead trimmed to 1.5 in late September. Then the Sox told them to shut up.
  4. Ok, things getting REAL spicy now.
  5. Big fan of the Mets, Phillies and Padres booths for this reason.
  6. Whoa now. Are you trying to tell me TLR 2.0 wasn’t a massive success?
  7. Out of curiosity, what kind of broadcaster does not suck to you?
  8. Yeah, must be that. Couldn’t possibly be a reference to someone like Getz, the poster boy of privilege.
  9. What fun to have both the broadcaster and the team on the same development path of maybe being good by 2029.
  10. To be fair, there's literally a thread here and many other posts about whether they'll get to 100 losses or not, so I think it is a story worth attention on the broadcast. But, to your point, I do expect the coverage of it to be completely in your face and lacking any awareness or tact. There's a right way to acknowledge that story without being a complete salesperson for the team.
  11. My favorite part about it is that nicknaming someone christmas because they smile a lot doesn't even make sense.
  12. It's funny. You have the Sox and Bulls who have bad luck with draft positioning. And then you have the Bears who are gifted high draft picks only to not know how to make them work. Funny, I tell ya. Hilarious. 🫠
  13. Being positive is fine, but there's a way to do it that feels authentic and not like you're being sold a defective product. He's improved since last season, but until he can do this effectively it'll remain a rough broadcast.
  14. It goes both ways. Below is an annoyingly common type of post here. It’s really not that hard to acknowledge progress without “celebrating.”
  15. Baldwin, eh whatever, but I don't agree at all with Quero's value going down already. He's a rookie catcher at the end of his longest season in professional ball.
  16. To be fair, Beavers made a huge leap in development this season so he has a much better trajectory now than he did then. But yeah, the Cease trade looks more awful by the day.
  17. From Rosenthal's apology: "I had to continue the interview. We were live, folks, on national television. Couldn't stop." Ken, helping the cameraman up for 3 seconds would have made for much better live television. But sure, continue with your compelling and very important question of how the big moment made you feel as a player or whatever. Side note: Why are height jokes so normalized and accepted in society? It's pretty weird and cruel actually.
  18. vs Cowboys @ Raiders vs Saints @ Bengals vs Giants vs Browns These are the games I'd say aren't automatic losses. Realistically, I think they win 4 of the above.
  19. Okay here’s a question for yall: Who makes the playoffs first, Bears or Sox?
  20. I’m willing to give Ben a little more time to shape the run game, but yeah, the lack of offseason activity to address that position was really disappointing.
  21. Care to elaborate?
  22. Snopek replied to reiks12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I know this can't be true, but it sure feels like the Twins are constantly alternating their seasons between making the playoffs and having a top 5 pick.
  23. I think this needs to be pinned to this thread. Not trying to rain on the parade. His power has been incredible and overall it’s been a very impressive debut, but it could/will get ugly really fast and then we’ll start getting the “bust” comments again. Fortunately he’s getting valuable experience and has time and room for much more growth.
  24. Fair enough, and definitely a waste of time. I just hate when this site shows its toxic Twitter-esque side from time to time. We are better than that.
