  1. Sure, which is why I originally said it’s an Aikman problem and not a Caleb or Bears fan problem. But the fact that it’s turned into as much of a story as it has tells me that many do have a problem with it.
  2. I get that to an extent, but I still struggle to consider it a problem. It really had no effect on my enjoyment of the game. I just feel like a lot of Bears fans are coming off as really thin skinned and whiny this week and it’s taking away from the win a bit, which is a thing that actually matters.
  3. That sounds like a Troy Aikman problem and not a Caleb Williams problem or a Bears fan problem 🤷‍♂️
  4. JFC this is such a dumb non story. Why do people so badly need Aikman to like Caleb?
  5. Actually I do like US Bank a lot, but I think the rest are blander than the average outdoor stadium.
  6. I know I’m going full meatball here, but boooo to domed stadiums, especially in football! I love when stadiums play a role in the personality and character of a team. Domes just lack any character and are basically interchangeable sterile basements. Also, it’s nice being able to “feel” a day game vs a night game. Oh, and also, snow games rule.
  7. Oh, I know. I was being a sarcastic and cynical asshole.
  8. If only Getz played this kind of 4D chess with the rest of his developmental failures, we’d all have been at least a little more entertained the past few years. But hey, maybe he’s still scheming up some things.
  9. This is what I'd actually want them to do But this is the fun answer
  10. The Brewers have been the better team in 3 of the 4 games. They’re very clearly still a better overall team than the Cubs. That plus going back home outweighs whatever momentum the Cubs have right now IMO. I’d be very surprised if the Cubs win. And this is not just some Cubs hate nonsense or whatever. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Cubs advance. I just don’t think they’re good enough to win 3 straight vs the Brewers.
  11. Seriously. It feels like a 14 year contract.
  12. I might’ve overlooked it, but I didn’t see Benintendi in your OF, DH or bench plans. How are you thinking they make him disappear?
  13. So anyway, Colson rules. O/U 29.5 homers next year?
  14. No doubt, but the not knowing it part is key. There’s no mystery with Shaw.
  15. Simply put and well said. I feel like this is the motto of several Chicago sports teams.
  16. If this is truly just for 2025 and ignoring any larger context, I don’t see how a 102 loss team can get a grade higher than a D. The only exception would be if their star players were hurt for much of the season, but they weren’t really hit that hard with injuries and they don’t have any star players.
  17. The article does well in outlining how much of an uphill battle the org still faces, but I just can’t take comments like this seriously: “We are to celebrate the heartiness of 60 wins and bypass the obvious cancers still remaining” JFC no one’s saying you need to do either of these things. So damn dramatic.
  18. Yeah I don’t really get this. Going from historically bad to just very bad is obviously not a reason to be content or satisfied, but it’s very clearly progress. Now if you wanna say it wasn’t enough progress, sure, I’d go along with that.
  19. Yeah that’s fair. In a vacuum, the 81-81 season is obviously easier to watch. Taking context into consideration, this season felt like watching a toddler trip over itself while learning to walk, while the 2022 season felt like watching a runner trip over themselves while trying to cross the finish line.
  20. I have no idea if this is a hot take, but all things considered I think this season has been significantly "less awful" than the 2022 season. That year, they finished 81-81. It was the year of fully squandering whatever potential was left and coming to the realization that the core they spent years rebuilding was not going to lead them to success.
  21. The two that come to mind are the Angels (consistently ranked as a bottom 5 or so ballpark) and Royals (already planning a move to a new stadium).
  22. My man, I’m a fan of a sports team. The only question I’m really asking is when will they be good again?
  23. Hopefully, but I’m not optimistic at all. I really don’t get how they went into the season with this as their RB room. Their main back would be a change of pace back on any other team.
