  1. Fair enough, and definitely a waste of time. I just hate when this site shows its toxic Twitter-esque side from time to time. We are better than that.
  2. Oh hey buddy, how's that post coming where you show how I've spent the past year belittling anyone who felt negative about the team?
  3. Yeah, "here's what success looks like" vs "here's how to deal with failure." You'd think the coaches would have the latter covered.
  4. Lol I think you have the wrong number because I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. If you wanna throw accusations out, please share where I’ve spent the past year belittling anyone who felt negative about the team.
  5. Yeah I don’t think you get to decide that on their behalf. I am definitely not in the glass half full crowd, but this idea that they are just simple and naive comes off as pretty condescending.
  6. You absolutely can and should blame them. His injury risk should have been a huge factor in the decision to trade him or hold onto him. It’s the same crap as before. Crossing your fingers that injury prone guys suddenly stay healthy.
  7. This is why I was not a fan of holding onto him, even with the supposed underwhelming offers. The needle they have to thread in order for him to amass decent trade value does not seem feasible.
  8. He literally said “everything that happened to me is entirely my fault” within the first two minutes.
  9. Love the "day off in case rain on the opener" at Milwaukee's covered stadium.
  10. Now that this thread has gone exactly as expected, can I take a moment to say something we should all be able to agree on? It's just really really nice not having to hear from Pedro Grifol anymore. (And no, this does NOT mean I think Venable should win manager of the year).
  11. My bad then, but it was not obvious by any means with your choice of wording.
  12. Man, I was in complete agreement with you for the whole post until this part at the very end. You lost me here. These type of comments never sit well with me. The assumption that because someone feels negatively about their team, they must be miserable in all aspects of their life (and are doing so by choice!) is incredibly judgmental and really just kind of misses the point altogether.
  13. "This is a 100 loss team and you want to extend Getz?!" Did I do it right?
  14. I like that he’s looked much better, but I have no interest in betting on him to stay healthy and productive moving forward. Not after getting burned by that sort of thinking with the last failed rebuild. And for the record, it bums me out that I feel this way about, but it is what it is.
  15. Honest question for those of you “pointing out” that the team is actually still bad: Do you feel like you’re sharing new information that others were not aware of? Because it 100% comes off that way.
  16. I feel like we could save 10 more pages of this thread if we just accept that the Sox failed Vaughn AND Vaughn failed the Sox.
  17. People are wondering this?
  18. Sure, but as a professional athlete, I think more accountability should be expected of Vaughn than your kid in these two scenarios.
  19. Never forget though: Jerry Reinsdorf really loves baseball.
  20. In addition to what everyone else said, pitchers already get hurt enough. They do not need the additional stress on their bodies.
  21. Will occasionally forget it’s an air fryer and begin playing AM radio.
  22. I guess, but it just sounds like every other post here. I’m not saying it’s wrong, but isn’t this all very obvious stuff to most of us?
  23. Right. It’s pretty simple.
  24. I was curious if there was another city that has 3 or more teams from the big 4 sports that could challenge Chicago’s misery. Thought maybe the twin cities might give us a run for our money and…
