  1. Yup, it was obviously coming sooner or later. It’ll be interesting to see this next phase.
  2. Spread it around. Vaughn, Hahn, Getz and also JR because why not.
  3. Ayyye you’re there. That’s awesome. Hope you get a good one.
  4. I don't understand what's considered a "retro park" anymore. I get the Camden Yards thing, especially since it was such a shift from what we were used to at the time. But it seems like any stadium built after new comiskey, other than those with retractable roofs, is loosely referred to as a retro park.
  5. History tells me Hahn would take you up on that offer, but then you'd inexplicably start to lose your ability to hear after the first 45 minutes.
  6. Yeah, the odds of the rebrand being as good as or better than what they have now are really low.
  7. But this time will be different.
  8. It's weird because, while I completely agree with this, his one great season was on a 101 loss disaster of a team.
  9. I’m just gonna assume this is a bit.
  10. Yeah, I’m surprised that this aspect of it is somehow not being talked about more. We’re really still doing the “if talented injury prone guy can just stay healthy this could work” thing huh?
  11. Those grades are pretty wild. I think the cubs, tigers, Red Sox, brewers, angels and Braves all did worse than the Sox all things considered.
  12. Ideally we could combine them into one. Chasyn Sodroth would be a really solid player.
  13. Mentioned this in the Robert thread but if they do pick up his option, I wonder how much $ would be left to spend after that. That $20 million would be like $5 million more than they spent all of last offseason.
  14. I feel like Mead could be in the mix as a regular.
  15. Keep your eye out for the paper bag emojis. Maybe the pope is a poster here.
  16. Agree. Good addition to the broadcasts.
  17. The thing is, because of his inconsistent performance and injury history, no one knows what he is actually worth anymore.
  18. Both of them calling him Rojas lol
  19. Unless JR decides to open up the wallet a bit (lol, lmao, etc), I imagine this will be the majority of the offseason spending then. Isn't the $20 million for the option alone like $6 million more than they spent last offseason?
  20. For me it's just that I don't have confidence in any of the three happening let alone more than one of them: 1. The option is picked up 2. Robert stays healthy 3. Robert stays productive
  21. So we are just relying on Robert to stay healthy and productive then. What a novel fucking concept.
  22. Something about the wording of "the Red Sox keep saying no" is amusing to me. Like the Padres are just being really obnoxious about it.
  23. Yeah my brain wanted to short circuit reading that tweet. Especially since I had to reread it like 3 times.
