  1. If a guy objectively does not have much trade value, then he does not have much trade value. That's not an excuse for getting a small return, that's the reason for getting a small return. There's a difference.
  2. I’m very much in the camp of trade anyone that isn’t a part of the team’s future. At the same, I understand needing at least one adult hitter in the lineup next year, and Tauchman seems like a good presence all around.
  3. Short lived wonder lol
  4. I wonder if talks with teams have progressed enough where the Sox have agreed to hold Robert out until a deal is done (rather than it being a more serious injury).
  5. Lol. It’s more peaceful in a “doesn’t bother me so therefore it’s not a problem” kind of way.
  6. He took a Happ backswing to the head and ball to his junk yesterday, so he might just be a little banged up.
  7. I think he’s lapped him at this point
  8. Robert out of the lineup again…
  9. Radio hosts are generally known for having measured and rational takes. Benetti for Houser and Wilson?
  10. This page is way more rational than the previous page
  11. Glad it sounds minor, but potential suitors just got a little more leverage.
  12. Also that Michael Taylor shirt is pretty great
  13. Please define wokester for me.
  14. It’s an antiquated and derogatory phrase. Find a different way to get your point across. It’s not that hard.
  15. Seems that way, but I think they have a more stable young core than the Sox did so their window *should* be open longer than the Sox window was. But if they don’t invest in pitching, it’s probably all moot.
  16. IMO guys hitting dingers in street clothes would be even better.
  17. Also, the players do seem to care about the WBC, so putting that in the middle of the season where they all need a bit of a mental and physical break would be terrible.
  18. Pretty good derby aside from the Pat McAfee appearance
  19. Wrong thread dummy
  20. Yeah good call. I’m obligated to dislike all things Twins, but as a baseball fan I’m happy to see Buxton healthy and mashing.
  21. I think Cruz and Caminero are gonna steal the show.
  22. There’s really no reason to decide what Vargas is until after the season. Let him play out the rest of the season and if he mostly struggles, yeah, he probably ain’t it. That’s a lot of at bats to go off of at that point. But the Sox are in a position to let him work through things and see if he can make more adjustments.
  23. Honestly I’d much rather see him at a superstar level on another team rather than continuing to struggle. No bitterness or pain. The incompetence of this franchise has made me numb enough to all that where I’d just rather root for a player to succeed.
