  1. I'm almost always in the camp of "get the guy you need now and worry about the back half of the contract later" but 7 years for Bellinger would be wild.
  2. Ha! I have no recollection of him.
  3. Go get this guy. Also, who is this guy?
  4. 30 rec, 350 yds, 5 td. Bears win in triple OT, naturally.
  5. Oh hey aren’t you the guy who knows for a fact what Eloy’s motivation is for playing winter ball?
  6. Anything specific you like about that matchup? The rams offense vs the bears defense feels like a nightmare scenario to me.
  7. With a cool 1-3 playoff road record during that span. Also you’re missing 4 home wins in your breakdown.
  8. Also feels like “The Los Angeles Sacramento Kings of MLB Angels of Anaheim”
  9. I need Thuney to be my roommate for a year so I can start thriving in life.
  10. You made me look up white knighting (annoying) and I'll be damned if you didn't further prove my point by using that term. The jokes write themselves.
  11. Lol. This isn’t one of the two times a broken clock is right, but keep fighting the good fight. I’m sure being bitter and cynical toward everything is very worth it in the end.
  12. Glad that you know the REAL truth.
  13. Huh. And I was told guys like him and Yoan just stopped caring after they got their big contracts. It's almost like they have a competitive nature and a passion to keep playing the game.
  14. This is true. There should be a balance there. I just think once you start calling the game with too much of your heart than your head (i.e. always leaning the Sox way on 50-50 calls), you start getting into the Schriffen territory of thinking you can sell a product to fans that isn't actually there.
  15. But his job is to accurately describe the game, first and foremost.
  16. I wonder how much of JR’s thing is actual loyalty vs him just wanting to avoid the work involved with finding replacements.
  17. I’m in the camp of getting a potentially very good player on your team is actually a good thing. Especially with the whole perpetual “beggars can’t be choosers” thing the Sox have going on.
  18. No the key point is actually that they tried (and are still trying btw). The failure is so noteworthy because of how hard they’ve been trying. I will take that approach 10/10 times over whatever it is that JR does.
  19. My preemptive lemons into lemonade approach for tonight’s game is hey, if the bears lose, at least they can rest guys next weekend.
  20. Eh I think this is the kind of half move you see a lot with teams who are sort of trying to win but are being overly conservative about it. So yeah, I’d be surprised if this didn’t take the Reds out of Robert trade talks completely.
  21. Honest question about Baldwin: What’s the intrigue with him? I feel like I’m in the minority in that I find him really underwhelming. And for the record, I’m glad that I’m in the minority. I trust a bunch of yall seeing something in him more than I trust myself not seeing it. But I just don’t what “it” is.
  22. What’s your obsession with a poster making posts?
  23. Low key great part about last night was that I don’t recall the broadcast giving the new stadium crap any airtime.
