  1. Nick Richards is actually 3 second round picks stacked on top of each other in a trench coat.
  2. AKME gonna try to turn in their 100 2nd round picks for a top 3 overall pick like they're at the prize counter at Dave and Busters.
  3. Please be for 7 more guards and 7 more 2nd round picks
  4. Based on this? I think he’s a greedy and stubborn prick, but calling him racist feels kind of lazy.
  5. Being the only World Series MVP in your franchise's history seems slightly noteworthy.
  6. TL;DR ”Getz should never have been hired as GM” ”True, but he was” ”But he shouldn’t have been”
  7. In a city whose teams seemingly have been trying to outdo each other for the title of sorriest franchise in Chicago, I think the crown has officially been passed to the Bulls. Their willful mediocrity has been overshadowed by the ineptitude and embarrassment in recent years of the Sox, Bears and Hawks, but the Bulls are finally at the top (bottom). And in typical Bulls fashion, it's still not even that trainwreck type of bad that's at least sort of interesting. Nope, it's just boring bad.
  8. I was definitely saying I didn’t understand the logic of it in the Bader discussions, but my flip flopping ass has done a complete 180 since.
  9. Ok I actually like this signing quite a bit and will happily call myself out for flip flopping on this type of move.
  10. Made me think of this scene Here's hoping it ends similarly with a 100 win season out of nowhere
  11. Yeah I guess breakout is just relative to each team’s situation. Braves and Orioles: Teams going back to being contenders after a down year Sox and Pirates: Most improved losers Cubs: World Series or bust I buy the Pirates way more than the Sox on pitching alone, even though their lineup still looks a little sketchy.
  12. As tempting as it is to see an actual major leaguer in the outfield, signing a guy to take at bats from unproven outfielders on a rebuilding team feels a little counterintuitive.
  13. Good for him. Hope he gets PAID this offseason (not by the Bears).
  14. If we pinned this at the top of every thread it might save pages and pages of repetitive bickering
  15. This feels like a completely different sport than the AFC game.
  16. The Chiefs finally missing the playoffs only to be rewarded with a Patriots Super Bowl. So so cool.
  17. Makes me like him even more. He’s clearly happy in Cleveland and he made staying there his priority over getting significantly more money. Respect the hell out of that.
  18. I'd love to see Luis bounce back with the Mets. His time with the Sox was obviously a disappointment overall, but I don't mind still rooting for the guy.
