  1. Yes, known terrible human Jason Benetti.
  2. Exactly how I’m feeling.
  3. Yep, totally fair assessment. Admittedly I was initially only looking at it through the lens of “teams will always exploit loopholes for a competitive advantage.”
  4. But…they didn’t break any rule. And if it’s an unwritten rule type of thing, well, then maybe it should be a written rule. That’s on the NFL. The only thing the Ravens should care about is doing what they feel is best for their team, which they did 🤷‍♂️
  5. 36 points from the free throw line alone!
  6. There is a zero percent chance I remember this prediction by the time that game rolls around.
  7. From least to most bold (I think): Colson gets optioned to AAA in May after a horrendous start, but restores our faith by having a solid final few months in the majors. Quero finishes with a higher WAR than Teel. Murakami homers in the first four games of the season, including one on his first AB of the season. Meidroth doubles down the right field line on 3-1 pitch in the 6th inning of the game vs the Braves on June 11. Alas, he gets thrown out at third trying to stretch it into a triple. Such is life.
  8. No Cunningham comp picks
  9. Price will be massive obvs, but I think it’s a great investment. You’d have your head coach, qb and elite center locked up for a long time. Arguably the most important continuity across three guys that you can have.
  10. I feel like you’re devaluing the technical skills side of it quite a bit.
  11. I’d say it’s more of a win for the residents who are no longer on the hook for $1 billion in public funding.
  12. PCA rules. An MLB player with a personality. What a novel concept.
  13. A little surprised the Mets are so high. I knew their farm system was good, but didn’t know it was THAT good.
  14. All of the changes you mention did improve the park, but they weren't major enough to vault it into an upper tier of parks or anything. It was basically outdated as soon as it was built and those changes probably should've been part of the original design. One of the main knocks on the park has always been that it's just fine and nothing special, which is too low of a bar for a MLB park. Stadiums have evolved quite a bit over the years, especially with an emphasis on the ballpark village type of areas immediately surrounding stadiums these days. This is all why it'll remain at the bottom of lists. It wasn't great when it was built, hasn't aged well in the grand scheme of things, and is now being left even further behind as trends change and the idea of what makes a good park continues to evolve.
  15. I acknowledge that the Bears stadium issue is really complicated and nuanced and that no one has all the relevant facts and figures to have a fully informed opinion, so I’ll keep this at a high level. I’m a little surprised at how many people are so willing to completely side with the Bears here. Are politicians greedy and corrupt? Lol obviously. But however cynical you want to be about politics, you have to acknowledge that at least a small sliver of their job, by nature, is to represent the best interests of the people. They might suck at it, but it’s still a slice in the pie chart of what they do. The Bears? They’re a private for-profit business. Their primary objective is to make as much money as possible. You know, like a private for-profit business tends to do. I know it’s hard to believe, but they give even less fucks about you than politicians do.
  16. Tim Kurkjian must have lost his s%*# over this one.
  17. I refuse to believe you are mad about the lineup in the first game of spring training.
  18. I still think they’ll end up in AH, they’re just taking an obnoxious route to get there.
  19. Your last place Minnesota Twins?
  20. Low 30's if healthy, but I'm baking in some injuries and saying low 20's.
  21. Lol at that headline. Did they also throw all his clothes down onto the street from the bedroom window?
  22. The age old tradition of reading a Bruce tweet then checking the handle to see if it's actually him or the parody account.
  23. Anything they get from him at this point should be considered a bonus. At least I hope that's how the Sox are thinking about it.
  24. incite
  25. Works for me. Petriello is a smart baseball dude.
