The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
Snopek replied to Kyyle23's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Looking forward to seeing them build around that core with key additions like Gio Urshela and Randal Grichuk. -
Yep. I would even argue that last season was worse than just wasted time because I think there’s a lot of undoing that Ben has had to do just to get Caleb back to square one.
-
I do want to acknowledge the challenge of Caleb needing to learn a new (and much more complicated) offense. I’m willing to give it more time. And I’m even willing to accept that it probably needed to get worse before it can get better in terms of undoing everything from last year (great job Poles!). But holy s%*#, please show something we can point to. Blind faith can only go so far.

Caleb outplayed by a third string QB. When the hell is he going to show something? The patience asked of bears fans is insane.

Lamar out tomorrow per Schefter.
-
Woof. This might be a real ugly one.

Yeah no thanks

Dodgers in 5 🥱
-
Trying to be patient, but definitely expected more progress from Caleb by now.
-
Sure, which is why I originally said it’s an Aikman problem and not a Caleb or Bears fan problem. But the fact that it’s turned into as much of a story as it has tells me that many do have a problem with it.
-
I get that to an extent, but I still struggle to consider it a problem. It really had no effect on my enjoyment of the game. I just feel like a lot of Bears fans are coming off as really thin skinned and whiny this week and it’s taking away from the win a bit, which is a thing that actually matters.
-
That sounds like a Troy Aikman problem and not a Caleb Williams problem or a Bears fan problem 🤷♂️
-
JFC this is such a dumb non story. Why do people so badly need Aikman to like Caleb?

Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

Actually I do like US Bank a lot, but I think the rest are blander than the average outdoor stadium. -

I know I’m going full meatball here, but boooo to domed stadiums, especially in football! I love when stadiums play a role in the personality and character of a team. Domes just lack any character and are basically interchangeable sterile basements. Also, it’s nice being able to “feel” a day game vs a night game. Oh, and also, snow games rule. -
Oh, I know. I was being a sarcastic and cynical asshole.

If only Getz played this kind of 4D chess with the rest of his developmental failures, we’d all have been at least a little more entertained the past few years. But hey, maybe he’s still scheming up some things.

Woof

The Brewers have been the better team in 3 of the 4 games. They’re very clearly still a better overall team than the Cubs. That plus going back home outweighs whatever momentum the Cubs have right now IMO. I’d be very surprised if the Cubs win. And this is not just some Cubs hate nonsense or whatever. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Cubs advance. I just don’t think they’re good enough to win 3 straight vs the Brewers.
-
Seriously. It feels like a 14 year contract.
-
I might’ve overlooked it, but I didn’t see Benintendi in your OF, DH or bench plans. How are you thinking they make him disappear?
-
So anyway, Colson rules. O/U 29.5 homers next year?
-
No doubt, but the not knowing it part is key. There’s no mystery with Shaw.
