They’ve been facing some pitchers with great stuff who can shut down an opponent on any given day.

All rightfully earned strikeout criticism aside, I will say it’s pretty great that Colson has managed to stay healthy for just about the entire year.

I have plenty of gripes with Venable’s tactical/in-game decisions, but let’s not ignore the fact that he’s having to navigate bullpen games basically every other day in the thick of a pennant race. That’s just a brutal ask.
