  1. He's a solid pitcher, just been a bit banged up to start the season. Perhaps he has a blister or something, but he is good, at least in a deep league. I agree the Sox have had his number over the years. 2019 2.34 ERA / 57 2/3 IP 2020 4.74 / 74 2021 3.84 / 124 1/3 2022 6.28 / 53
  2. Speculation on Twitter is that he has been traded. So Cleveland's third straight tanking season continues (24th (2020), 29th (2021) and 27th (2022) in payroll). Can the White Sox catch them?
  3. Did they cite an injury? I have him in a very deep league. Thanks
  4. Preparedness, Hitting Approach, Defense, Effort, Desire and Managerial IQ all favor the Twins.
  5. I'm sure his bosses liked it, but he now is exposed as having zero credibility or integrity. He needs to drink bourbon and throw remote controls with Rick Hahn, and stay out of White Sox Business.
  6. We deserve a competent GM to hire a competent ML manager. It should not take decades for this to happen. I don't see it happening until Jerry no longer has a role in the day to day business of the organization.
  7. Well, he tells it like he says after JR gives the signal it's OK to go after Tony. Tony has been screwing up since he was hired, and none of Jerry's paid media cronies said boo until this week. Could have used Ozzie's voice after Tony destroyed Yermin's season last May. His only criticism regarding Tony came this week, and is limited to Tony being too soft on players, not on the asinine things he says and does on a daily basis. There is far more wrong with Tony's managerial stint than "being soft on players". Ozzie and Steve Stone know it, but were too cowardly to speak a word of it until now. Ozzie doesn't want to upset his Sugar Daddy, also said he loves Jerry more than his Father because he made him the man he is. Ozzie's team tuned him out after a couple years, and they sucked ass for most of his tenure because he was also a shitshow, just in a more entertaining fashion than Tony.
  8. Congressionally granted monopolies have their advantages.
  9. I can't believe Ozzie is only 5 1/2 years older than me (some reason I thought he would be in his 60s). Within an inch in height, he looks heavier, at least on TV. I'd go 9 minutes in the ring with him for charity. Ditto Rick Hahn.
  10. This interview is much to do about nothing, primarily ripping on Heyman and kissing Jerry's ass. Only criticism of Tony is he's too soft on the players and the Sox should win the division, been kissing his ass as well all interview. Said he shouldn't have mentioned Ricky Renteria and would like to apologize to his face and was sorry for bringing up his name yesterday.

  13. Leury is the breakfast taco that fell off your plate onto the floor. "I go by the five second rule." - Tony La Russa
  14. Yes. Perhaps it doesn't come to fruition before the next home series, but I don't think that tweet goes out without legitimate information. The most likely scenario for Tony to step down based on the heavy toll it is taking physically and mentally approaching 78 years old. He displayed a lot more energy last season while he was still fresh. He looked happy and at least somewhat engaged, including literally running out after Abreu was hit. He spoke slow in press conferences, but still clear and understandable. I would say he sounded more coherent in his DUI arrest videos than he does in 2022 postgame Q & As. There could be a health issue perhaps he or his wife are dealing with. He also has to be disappointed with the way things are going, and perhaps he consulted with his close confidents (Bill Belichick, Bill Parcels, others) and decided it is best to step down, claim health reasons which nobody will give him grief for if he stays retired, and let him walk away with some semblance of dignity. It's likely he would give Jerry sometime to discuss replacement options, within the past week or two, and now Kenny and Hahn are involved on next steps.
  15. Shane doesn't mention the word fired at all in his tweet.
  16. Jose Abreu, one of the few White Sox who cares deeply day in and day out.
  17. Why would the Sox skip him Sunday? They are going to go with Martin, after Tony threw him under the bus to deflect another inept intentional walk decision?
  18. Haven't seen replies to this, but he did break the firing of the Charlotte Manager before it was public. He also is the only one on the Score Rick Hahn is willing to be interviewed by. Worse case scenario, this is just another log thrown onto the fire started by Kenny Williams' leak to Bob Nightingale, and Ozzie and Steve Stone's on record open criticism the past few days. Seems like Jerry has given the signal to try to smoke out Tony from his hole. same as he did when he unleashed the hounds to smear Ricky Renteria in the Summer of 2020 to make way for Tony La Russa.
  19. The White Sox continue to regress under Tony La Russa. Ricky Renteria 2020 35-25 .583 > Tony La Russa 2021 93-69 .574 Ricky Renteria 2019 42-44 .488 > Tony La Russa 2022 41-45 .477
  20. The 2022 White Sox remain behind the pace of the intentionally tanking 2019 White Sox. Ricky Renteria 2020 35-25 .583 > Tony La Russa 2021 93-69 .574 Ricky Renteria 2019 42-44 .488 > Tony La Russa 2022 41-45 .477
