South Side Hit Men replied to CentralChamps21's topic in 2022 Season in Review
Deficit has to be 6 or greater. Dave Roberts was busted when attempting to bring in Zach McKinstry to pitch the 9th down five. https://www.cbssports.com/mlb/news/dodgers-blocked-from-pitching-position-player-after-unwittingly-violating-new-mlb-rule-vs-mets/ This rule was actually passed before the 2020 season, but suspended the past two seasons due to Rona. -

How to contact the team? Any ideas to honor a loved one?

Sorry for your loss. My suggestion is to contact White Sox Charities: https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/charities/support/scoreboard-messages If you have any questions, please email scoreboard@whitesox.mlb.com or call 312-674-5504. They may have other options for you and your family beyond the Scoreboard Message.- 1 reply

Isn't McEwing Hahn's Clubhouse Snitch? Super Joe is not going anywhere until Hahn is gone.

Finishing 62-100 in 2022 puts Tony at under .500 for his White Sox career going into 2023. Two 71-91 finishes through 2023 also gets Tony there.

Joe Kelly couldn't pitch back-to-back before 7/1

Wait a minute, they signed him for two years $17M? He's 34 and has a 7.71 ERA with this ridiculous contract stipulation. I'm calling Illinois Adult Protective Services when they reopen on Tuesday, and requesting an elder abuse check on Jerry Reinsdorf. There is no telling what drugs they slipped him to sign off on several deals the past two seasons, including this jackass deal. -

AND THAT'S A LEURY LEGEND WHITE SOX WINNER

I like to think of Tony as Steve Urkel, irritate him on multiple levels. -
Did you make it to San Francisco for the series, @Richie ?

And Belle was solely out of Jerry’s spite against the other owners for settling with the players. Cut bait after two years once his tantrum subsided. To be fair, Carlton Fisk is the first Sox free agent to fit the bill. It’s just been a long four decades since.

His positional flexibility has helped the Sox, but the lack of starting 2B and RF, and organizational depth during the past three seasons have led to him playing as a regular. That falls on Hahn, not Ricky Tony. Leury isn’t performing well, but he really shouldn’t be put in the situation to play 120-140 games a season. Yet here we are, year after year. -

Last White Sox 1-0 win was September 24, 2021 in Cleveland. Cease went 5 1/3, and four relievers finished it out. Luis Robert's 5th inning home run was the game winner. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CLE/CLE202109240.shtml Lynn looked solid tonight, a good sign for the second half. Think the cold weather hurt both offenses today.
