  1. Particularly for the type of mediocre returns that Getz has been getting for our better players.
  2. Good experience as MLB player and coach with winning organizations, contrary to Grifol. Very good hire IMO.

Getz’ trades have turned out to be mainly salary dumps as the Sox have not gotten much in return.
  4. I would like to have a proven experienced major league manager. No more Grifol type coaches.

The pity was how little we got back for a rough diamond like MK. Fireballer relievers throwing 102 mph should have commanded a top prospect. Baseball people knew that MK with a better environment and coaching would be an invaluable asset. Getz screwed it up. IMO.
  6. Or conversely tell them, the only way you would go to a Sox game this season is they pay you.
  7. In the meantime, AJ Hinch and the Tigers are into the playoffs, and we got stuck with TLR instead which was the beginning of our decline. JR dictating JLR hire instead of AJ Hinch was a major blunder IMO.
  8. No Nationwide is on your side jingle singing.
  9. Looking further back, Chris Sale will be NL Cy Young winner this season
  10. Good indictment of the Sox owner and FO. Lack of oversight, unwillingness to sufficiently invest on the team, insularity resulting in hiring Getz, lack of embracing change such as the use of analytics amongst other issues.
  11. Agree 150%. The returns he got from his trades were underwhelming. I thought that Hahn was bad but this guy is worse.
  12. Aren’ t we referring to the worst BASEBALL team of all time, not the worst sports team of all time. We cannot compare apples with oranges. The other major sports are contact sports and could not have a 162 game season.
  13. The main result of all theSox trading moves has been a salary dump benefiting JR’s pocket. We just got back mostly cheap inferior players. If we held and managed our situation better the last couple of years we could have had a starting rotation of Cease, ReyLo, Crochet, Fedde and a bullpen led by Bummer and Kopech, and led by a new pitching coach anda better manager and GM. IMO.
  14. True, but the point is that Getz should have obtained a bigger return from the Dodgers, and it was implied that the Dodgers would have been willing to, with a better Sox negotiation.
  15. Getz pulled off one of the worst trades of the season, giving up Kopech to the Dodgers for essentially Vargas, and not any of the top Dodgers prospects, in which the USA Today called a heist. Kopech is 3-0 with a 0.50 ERA and has turned the Dodgers bullpen around. Has Getz done any great tradea for the Sox?. His trade returns have been terrible IMO.
  16. I agree. We got poor returns for trAding stars like Cease, Fedde and useful players like Kopech, Eloy and letting ReyLo, Bummer go.
  17. The best option was to keep Burger with all that control. His slugging is very suitable for GRF. He is still hitting homers in Miami which is a pitcher friendly park. IMO.
  18. Whatever was with Pedro was not working with the Sox. His firing was long overdue,
  19. Definitely. Sizemore has credibility. Former MLB star. Younger and more energetic than Pedro. Looks like a keeper for next season.
  20. Is this a soccer team lineup?
  21. Robert wants to compete with Yoan in the music department.
