Unfortunately for Sox fans, the process by which the White Sox have done evaluations has been a problem in terms of results. There’s not necessarily any problem atm with the process right now that we are aware of in terms of Roch Cholowski and the rest. Just that the what the Sox like to do historically hasn’t necessarily served us well. Anyway, Roch Cholowski plateaued right when people were asking about the size of his upside. He’s pretty dang good though, obviously. The relative upsides of the guys at the top of this draft are worth exploring as alternatives. When you’re drafting 1-1, are you trying to be safe, sure, or are you trying to reach for the most explosive outcome possible? If the Sox were trying to be safe with Smith over Griffin, this time, many of us will regret the outcome again if it repeats, and the Sox were over consecutive.

Life comes at you fast. Can’t be sitting still at an older age when these young kids are coming up showing out and expect not to be challenged for the top. Even still being the favorite.

I think people just wonder why Roch is not hitting .400 like Lackey is, as noted above, against easier pitching. As I was mentioning, hype is leaking off his previously hyped profile a number of months ago. If Roch had the same physical package as Justin Lebron does, plus Roch’s current production, the hype would likely still be intact.

What you have done, is to apply a thread practice used when players leave, to a player still on the team for some odd reason. Or perhaps this was lowkey a nickname appreciation thread? And in that case if it’s going away, that would be great. Not appreciation thread threadworthy though. We never had an appreciation thread for a nickname. But if this one is going away, most people will appreciate that this thread had to happen as the price we all paid.
