Sox need to trade Montgomery since it looks like he's not developing well with the Sox.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?
greg775 replied to GreatScott82's topic in Pale Hose Talk
From what I've heard about Chicago, city leaders right now don't deserve two teams. Moving to Arlington Heights with the Bears would be amazing. Build two incredible stadiums, put up an amazing practice facility for the Bears and some Sox themed bars and restaurants. Make it a huge deal like the Cowboys in their complex. -
That was so funny. I died laughing. I love when she said in the accent, 'tank you.' And when Marty Feldman was asked about the 'bags' I passed out.
-
Rats. We lose.

The Sox don't stink anymore. Can we hold on and win?

I've not watched one Bond movie. I this week did watch Young Frankenstein though and loved it. My gawd what subtle humor.

Yeah. I've been watching the game highlights and checking the box scores but still am not an expert on our lineup/roster. Too many new guys.

Lame April Fools joke. As somebody who knows little about our team I thought 'Wow we have so many catchers we shipped one.' Then I saw Lee bashed that double yesterday and realized it prolly was a dumb joke. April Fools Day has gladly passed. Hate it.

4/5 Game Thread Sox @ Tigers 1200 pm

Reality has to be soon hitting the new manager. He signed up for this. Hope he realizes there's pretty much nothing he can do to avoid last place and 100 plus losses and all that is White Sox. No need to stress over this bunch. At least this year it seems like the lineup is capable of 7 or 8 hits a game. -

Uh oh. 2-6 is close to a horrible start. Will our skipper set the tone early and freak out after this one? -
4/4 - Sox @ Tigers, 12:10 CDT - Cannon v. Flaherty

I don't know how to link social media site X but it's all over there. They interviewed people who said if you denied giving the 40 they flattened tires, etc. The cash was just to get off the Ryan exit. Pretty intense stuff. They had some video. The 40 bucks was like a toll to be allowed to get near the parking lots. Cops came on one video and the thugs scattered. If it's true it's just another reason for fans not to venture to any games with a team this rotten. -

At 2-5 the new manager has to be concerned. Got to win next game vs detroit and show we can win four of every nine. 4-5 of every nine would mean a decent season. Crucial stretch here to determine whether we just stink or royally stink. -

Did you guys see that item on Twitter (X) on some group of thugs charging 40 bucks a car as u exited the dan ryan? They better get that in check before people get scared. Not sure how old the Tweet was but the gist was guys who looked like parking attendants were demanding 40 bucks a car. -

Oops 2-5 is starting a downward spiral trend. New manager must figure something out. Before you know it we could be 2-10 or something stupid like that. Sox need to win game two of this series. -
4/2 game, they going to get the game in?

Jankowski seems like a better name for a hockey player. Jankowski ... a shot and a goal! -

Tiny crowd. Did the game start late? Delayed? I see our bats were quiet. 2-4 not a bad homestand considering the roster. Should be interesting to see if we have a bad roadtrip. -
Seems to me the Sox need to get rid of this Schriffen and add somebody who knows the franchise and city better.

Arlington Heights making stadium pitch to White Sox?

The Sox and Bears both belong in Arlington or Naperville. Bears have all this land in Arlington to build a Cowboys-like compound. The Sox need to get out of a city with major major problems and head to suburbia. Go in with the Bears for sure. -
Would be neat if Sheets makes it big. I assume he's making a good salary at least. I don't hate Sheets or Vaughn and I liked Burger. Seemed to me Sheets, Vaughn and Burger all need(ed) a change of scenery.

I just watched the game highlights on mlb. Surprised they have that feature for free. Looks like Sox played OK but the bullpen was a problem. These starting pitchers are prolly going to really excel when it gets warm out.

Red Sox love those tall White Sox lefty pitchers. If we're ever going to sniff a pennant again like in 05 which now looks like lightning in a bottle flukish type year we're gonna win with players like the Royals had last year minus the two stars (Salv Perez, Witt). With the Sox refusing to pay the going rate for stars, this is all futile folks. Sox may flirt with .500 and a playoff spot or two but no pennants.
-
He's early choice for manager of the year. Normally we get slugged by Central Division teams and normally we lose at home. Not this year.
-
What a difference a manager is making. The Sox are killing a Central Division team. At home where the Sox have reeked much the past few seasons. Looks like Sox finally got a manager. Beni, by the way, now that he's lifting and pulling the past two seasons is a bonifide 20 to 25 homer guy. Not that I approve of lift and pull but he's gotten to the point he could start for about any team in the league. Sox with this pitching might be a .500 team this year because of this manager.

I always feel for the fans who go on days we get shut out. I know when I used to go to games as a kid and teen a shutout was depressing stuff. Kids want to see the exploding scoreboard go off.
-
Can you imagine if this was Game One of the series? We'd have been very negative with the 2-hit shutout loss. Instead game three Sunday will be very interesting if we can win the series.
