There's no question this lineup is actually worse than last year's. If Beni's not healthy and we get only single digit homers from him and Vaughn only hits 15ish homers certainly this team will have less HR power than any team in Sox annals.

Good post. As some long timers on here know, I used to freak out on a daily basis if and when we lost the game, any game. Even meaningless September games. i wanted ALL wins. Now (it's not my fault, it's Jerry's conditioning me this way) I expect to lose every single game, kind of in some weird way want to lose every single game. It's strange psychology but I'm thinking after an organization/team finally loses a person (the person is convinced the organization is utter trash and has no ability to turn things around) the brain expects defeat and welcomes defeat. Weird I know but I can't be the only longtime Sox fan who is so jaded he/she kind of likes when we lose now.

Aside from last year is this the Sox worst start in history? It's tough to lose this many games in April. Usually it takes a bit for bad teams' record to become rotten.

I also would have loved to have Candelaria. At least he's interesting. I want Burger, Candelaria and VIciedo and that other fan favorite guy, Colas, in my lineup. Why not?

That's what greg was saying last year. At least contract our team. We then could get a new team in Chicago under new owners. There should be contraction. We are not trying to win in the (once) greatest city in the world. With our gorgeous hats and cool jersey tops we would be THE team in Chicago if we tried to field a winning team. The Cubs have stunk since their one great year. The city is there for the taking for the Sox and their trendy beautiful hats and jerseys. Nobody wants to wear Cubby bear jerseys and hats. The Sox should have owned Chicago starting in 2006. Instead .... Please contract the White Sox. End this misery.

Ptatc: Serious question. If you worked for the Sox and were in the dugout would you have demanded our new skipper pinch run for him in the 9th? Knowing his injury, etc? This is malpractice IMO of the White Sox.

From what I've heard about Chicago, city leaders right now don't deserve two teams. Moving to Arlington Heights with the Bears would be amazing. Build two incredible stadiums, put up an amazing practice facility for the Bears and some Sox themed bars and restaurants. Make it a huge deal like the Cowboys in their complex.

I've not watched one Bond movie. I this week did watch Young Frankenstein though and loved it. My gawd what subtle humor.

Yeah. I've been watching the game highlights and checking the box scores but still am not an expert on our lineup/roster. Too many new guys.

Lame April Fools joke. As somebody who knows little about our team I thought 'Wow we have so many catchers we shipped one.' Then I saw Lee bashed that double yesterday and realized it prolly was a dumb joke. April Fools Day has gladly passed. Hate it.

Reality has to be soon hitting the new manager. He signed up for this. Hope he realizes there's pretty much nothing he can do to avoid last place and 100 plus losses and all that is White Sox. No need to stress over this bunch. At least this year it seems like the lineup is capable of 7 or 8 hits a game.

I don't know how to link social media site X but it's all over there. They interviewed people who said if you denied giving the 40 they flattened tires, etc. The cash was just to get off the Ryan exit. Pretty intense stuff. They had some video. The 40 bucks was like a toll to be allowed to get near the parking lots. Cops came on one video and the thugs scattered. If it's true it's just another reason for fans not to venture to any games with a team this rotten.

At 2-5 the new manager has to be concerned. Got to win next game vs detroit and show we can win four of every nine. 4-5 of every nine would mean a decent season. Crucial stretch here to determine whether we just stink or royally stink.

Did you guys see that item on Twitter (X) on some group of thugs charging 40 bucks a car as u exited the dan ryan? They better get that in check before people get scared. Not sure how old the Tweet was but the gist was guys who looked like parking attendants were demanding 40 bucks a car.
