Benintendi hit a meaningless homer in the 9th on Thursday. Prior to that they scored in the 8th on Monday.

I feel terrible about my responsibility for the second half. I got re-married on July 11. They lost a lot before that but since than…4-42. Mea maxima culpa.

Am I correct that the Sox are 4-41 since the just before the AS break? That’s a .097 winning percentage. That’s impossible. Four fucking wins since the AS break! Four! Seriously. How does a team do that?

A couple days ago I wrote that my dream was for them to finish 1-29 for 130 losses. There’s 2 of the 29. Keep the dream alive.

My dream, and I don’t think it’s possible to pull this off, is they go 1-29 over the last 30. 130 losses. Never be topped. In 100 years when some team is having a terrible season they’ll say “we’re not good but we’ll never catch the 2024 White Sox!”

I could be with my fiancé watching my soon-to-be step-daughter’s softball practice. I could drive a mile up the street to watch the college I coach at lacrosse match. But, no I’m choosing to be here watching the Sox with this sadistic bunch.

I might hurry home and watch some of it. It’s gotta be better than a true crime show or “Air Disasters,” doesn’t it?
