  1. Mark B has been showing up, the fans should show up to watch him pitch if he continues to win like he has the past month.
  2. If I had to name 15 guys, here's who I'd name (in no particular order): Joe Mauer, Jose Reyes (already up), Scott Kazmir, Gavin Floyd, Casey Kotchman, Victor Martinez (up), Jason Stokes, Justin Morneau (up), Scott Hairston, Hanley Ramirez, B.J. Upton, Colby Lewis, Adam Wainwright, Bryan Bullington, Delmon Young. That's just my list, but obviously, there's a lot of other guys who could be on it with ease.
  3. And where the fans fill the stadium every night.
  4. Jas, as long as you keep Mark B, go ahead and break em up.
  5. You can't blame a hitting coach for the way this team is going. At some point, these PROFESSIONAL players need to look in the mirror and realize that THEY are the ones at fault. Putting the blame elsewhere is simply the easy way out. Don't blame Greg Walker or any other hitting coach we've had. We aren't getting the job done, it's as simple as that. Until the Sox players decide to suck it up and respond to this slump, consider us just another team.
  6. This was my fear after making the trades. We were finally getting hot, then we make the deals and we are totally out of sync again. I understand the Alomar trade, but now I really don't like the Everett trade after the way Aaron was beginning to turn it around. Let's hope the all-star break brings some answers for this pitiful offense.
  7. Maybe this is their response to us acquiring Robbie and Everett.
  8. If Josh Stewart does pitch, chalk up a loss. Simply put, he won't get it done.
  9. Mags isn't going anywhere this season, regardless of the standings. If he gets traded, it will be next season nearing the trading deadline and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay with the Sox long term.
  10. Peter Gammons is one of the most unrelaible sources out there. Half of the things he reports never come true and the other half are slightly altered when they do happen. I don't take a word he says seriously. He's simply a Red Sox homer.
  11. Predicting next season is hard enough, let alone 2005. However, I will say this. Our starting OF won't be Borchard, Reed and Anderson if we don't have Mags. And if it is, we won't be anywhere near contention.
  12. If he bolts after next season, we'll simply use an outfield of Lee, Reed and Borchard in 2005 and have cap room to sign a good free agent. Add to the fact that we have Buehrle through 2006 as well as Wright, Garland, I think we'll be alright if he leaves.
  13. His skills are not starting to erode, he's been hurt this year and since he's been healthy, he's been on fire. Check his stats for the past few weeks. He's easily one of the 15 best outfielders in baseball (overall) and you could make a case for him being top 10.
  14. If the Sox trade Buehrle, mail the season in. It's just not gonna happen. He is our ACE.
  15. Steff, what does your sig mean?
  16. He's throwing a gem last time I looked. Only given up one run I think.

    Do you think

He is a weak version of Mark Buehrle. He doesn't throw hard and his stuff is not nearly as good as Mark B. He'd be lucky to be a 5th starter on Detroit.

    Do you think

I'd like to see Jeremy Reed as a September call-up if he continues this torrid pace.
  19. One thing that didn't surprise me is the fact that KW was voted the 5th worst GM. Wait a minute, maybe that does surprise me, why isn't he first? Also JM in 3rd from worst manager and Larry Bowa beat him out. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have Larry.
