We have the Baby Breda sterilizer that both sterilizes and dries the bottles, bottle and pump parts. We got it with our son but never used it since he was entirely breast fed so we didn’t have to pay that cost. Being a first time dad was tough since I was anxious about having a child to raise (mostly financial) and I know we made some mistakes early on, but things change and you get the hang of parenting while learning something new each day. My daughter is less temperamental and is a better sleeper than my son, but I was prepared for a baby that wasn’t a great sleeper. I think knowing this is our last baby makes things easier since we are just having two. But having more knowledge really helps with parenting a second child, there is no doubt.

Nothing burger or something burger? Higgins had the franchise tag placed on him. -
If they stay, it will be a lifetime commitment for me. If they move to Nashville, it won’t be for me because there is no connection to the city of Chicago and my kids won’t be able to grow up watching White Sox baseball. See above. “I didn’t realize that this many Sox fans care more about Jerry losing than the organization actually winning.” @Chicago White Sox may have seen this from some on this thread, on Twitter or on Facebook, but I don’t think fans want to see JR fail. Instead, if a new stadium is to be built, it shouldn’t be completely publicly financed. JR, the other minority owners and the new developer should have skin in the game. A private and public investment makes more sense if that is what it takes to build a new stadium and keep the team here. And as I stated before, there definitely needs to be some use of GRF and development of Bridgeport so that the existing stadium doesn’t go to waste. Same here. Although Biss got his chance to approve changes to local ordinance for the new NU football stadium in Evanston, which the Ryan family is privately funding.

Tailgating isn’t just about the ballpark experience, for some it is also about an economic necessity, particularly for the working and middle class. I think the threat that he’s putting into another owner selling and moving the team is just to cause fear of the team leaving. We have no idea what the next billionaire will do with this team or what his son will do. I also agree with you that MLB and other owners will not allow the White Sox to move unless there isn’t an option. @GenericUserName laid out an argument on the previous page that really made sense from the city’s perspective. Maybe Johnson (a newbie who needs a political win) sees that. Not under Pritzker’s watch and the budget he’s trying to get passed. Not sure why you’re even suggesting this unless a vote is planned in some sort of vote before a Memorial Day recess. Private and public investment. JR had an opening bid. Now JB and Springfield can respond with a counter offer. Maybe there is a deal to be had for all involved. It also seems to depend on what the Bears do. I am opposed to taxpayer spending on things like new stadiums when GRF is fine for now and there is a mess abrewing with the Bears and White Sox both wanting new stadiums. I am also opposed to this spending because the previous stadium work is not yet paid off and should be considered in any kind of deal. I really would need to see some long term commitment to use GRF and the surrounding area for housing and for something else like soccer. I can see this part of the equation being left out even though it is being proposed. Back to the legislators. I haven’t called Anne Stava-Murray (a Democratic rep) or John Curran (a Republican senator and minority leader) but I should to see where Stava-Murray is at. Curran would probably vote it down to stick with his party’s anti-spending and the mostly anti-anything the Democratic Supermajority is for in the Illinois General Assembly. I have called Stava-Murray in the past to see where she stood on pension reform and if she would be open to future negotiations (she isn’t, it’s a non starter for her even though she favors stabilizing pensions) because my wife and several friends and family are teachers and I want them to have something to retire on before the massive unfunded liabilities (to the tune of a reported $141 billion and growing) lead to bankruptcy. So maybe I should call again and voice my opposition and see where she stands on the stadium issue if it would do any good at all.

I’m taking the approach of, the stadium we have is fine, the product sucks, the state is rather broke to fund a new stadium and subsidize the Bears in some way and taxpayers shouldn’t have to shoulder the burden of things as Illinoisans we don’t necessarily need.

She is our second child. Her weight has fallen since to 8 pounds 15 ounces and rebounded to 9 pounds 2 ounces. We (my wife, the pediatrician and I) think it has to do with the fat content in the breast milk and not getting enough of what our baby needs. So long story short we will be using some formula to supplement feedings and I will be cleaning, sterilizing, drying and giving bottles! Thanks!!

It’s amazing how fast they grow up and time flies. My son is 3 and it felt like just yesterday he was in diapers. We welcomed by daughter last Tuesday and she’s a sweet little baby girl. 9 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long.

I liked having a guy in the one who just went out and pitched. Shaw performed decently last year so I want to keep him around.

That is a fair point, but even if you remove the new OT rules as a variable, I think you can still get data points from the regular season and/or the playoffs to determine the number of times teams went for it on 4th down versus going for the FG and the win/loss result. I would agree with you it wasn’t necessarily the wrong move, but seeing the analytics would be interesting. -

McCaffrey sure looked disappointed after that one. Wonder if he wanted another crack at it. I bet he would have scored… -

And the Bears need to find out if Williams is the guy to elevate them like Mahomes elevates his team. -

I would have taken the points in the red zone like the 49ers did in overtime, but I wonder what the analytics would say to do. -
Because their owner is a penny pincher who doesn’t give a rats ass, just like JR.

Sox invite 25 to Spring Training including Danny Mendick
The Beast replied to HeGetzUs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The non roster invitees who are pitchers signed to minor league contracts must be guys they want to take flyers on given their numbers. They even brought in a 40 year old Jesse Chavez. Crazy, but not unheard of with where the roster and team is at. -
Or maybe it should be repurposed for housing or used for other games. To do nothing with it would be such a waste. The Bears would need to heavily invest in Bridgeport to make it worth it.
-
Does the state of Illinois really have the money for funding another stadium?
-
Hopefully the public financing is minimal if much at all. Hopefully there is something done with the existing field because it would be a waste if it weren’t used for anything. If they leave for Nashville because the Bears get the funding for a stadium and they don’t, that would be so White Sox and shitty.

I think I’ve figured out the Packers. Get small chunks of yardage, get in short third downs, get one explosion play or pass interference penalty and then score. I feel like I’ve seen this script repeatedly as a lifelong Bears fan. -
The SI cards you would get when you were a kid were always fun and welcome. Too bad the parent company is gutting the whole company.

It will be interesting to see where Vrabel, Harbaugh and Belichick interview and end up. I’ll be curious to see if the Eagles actually move on from Nick Sirianni with two years left on the contract. -

I’m starting to come around to the idea that Williams should be the quarterback they select with the number one pick. It could be the turning point that the franchise definitely needs. The fact that Williams declared and nothing weird has come officially come out makes me think he’s got good character so far. I’d have to evaluate his football tape but it’s probably very good if he’s considered to be generational. Now I wonder if Poles wants this to be the signature move and hope this turns out like Mahomes like in KC. Then they could trade Fields even if I don’t see them getting a first rounder for him, unless the market comes around for it with Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Maybe the coordinator they hire will reveal what the Bears will do with the number one pick. Waldron is still my number one choice. You’d have to think the Bears asked about assessing Fields and Williams and want to know if the coordinator will stay to develop that quarterback. I’ll be curious if Frank Reich gets an interview because of his relationship with Eberflus. -

Maybe they could do what Houston did last year, picking Stroud and then trading up to select Anderson.
