  1. I think the following he had were some that liked him but many who did not like him and either hate listened or just had the Score on during the day.
  2. Dan Bernstein has always been a mixed bag for me. I didn’t like how he treated callers on Boers and Bernstein, but that seemed to be part of their show. I met Dan in 2016 at a remote and he was kind of a jerk, but I chalked it up to that is just who he is. Since then, I’ve listened to multiple versions of his show and actually really liked his interviews and his analysis. I don’t really understand what his issue was with this dude last week, but it was really dumb. I bet Bernstein re-emerges in some form with a podcast and long form interviews. I doubt he would Be able to go up the dial though. The Score’s lineup needs an overhaul. Marshall Harris needs someone to drive that program. The afternoon program is okay, but may need to be separated to bring someone new in, unless that new person starts middays.
  3. Tait was who I was thinking of too. I’m glad they gave up low rounders in separate drafts for each player. They are expensive players but the Bears have money to spend. They are also effectively on one year deals so they can use the two players they acquired as bridge players. At least they finally are addressing the line so Williams doesn’t get killed back there. They can certainly reclaim assets by trading down and what you describe makes a ton of sense.
  4. What a boring Super Bowl, it was a blowout and a few Chiefs garbage time touchdowns. I was so glad Brady stopped talking after blowing Mahomes for much of the night. Now onto the new league year with free agency in March.
  5. I’m not excited about the game because of the teams in it, but Philly does have a chance to win, so I’ll watch for that reason. I’m more excited about the food we’ll have instead of the game itself.😂 Italian Hoagies and a rotel dip!
  6. I love that. There’s no sense investing in running backs when there’s so much greater of a need upfront. The most productive running backs of my lifetime were Matt Forte and Thomas Jones (signed, not drafted by the Bears). I’d feel better about drafting one high and hitting on one like those guys if they had a solid line upfront.
  7. I’m not really a close NBA observer, but can someone explain to me why the Mavs made the Doncic/Davis trade? And…are the Bulls tearing down the roster to the studs like the Sox are and starting over?
  8. I’m only hoping that Caleb Williams gets one unified voice from the coaches rather than too many voices which screws him up. To me, Ben Johnson’s voice should be the one who matters most.
  9. It makes me wonder how different and potentially worse the Lions will be without their OC, DC and much of the offensive coaching staff. They’ll still be good but who knows if they can replicate the success they had.
  10. I want to better understand what the goal is. Is the goal to move the team? Is it to turn over the roster to new prospects and the new way of doing things? It would kind of suck if they are not spending just to move even though I guess I’d understand why. I hope they have exhausted all options within their price range to improve the roster so as to flip players at the deadline. Of course Feddes don’t grow on trees and the old way of rebuilding isn’t possible anymore. And they have already traded away 2 of 3 blue chip players on the roster (if Robert still is considered one) so they are almost out of shots in the arm and need to develop.
  11. I hope Tim regains form and salvages his career. And find where his power went because I thought that was what made him interesting in 2019.
  12. If Poles gets fired, what’s the plan?
  13. I’m wondering if Washington’s kicker will be their Achilles heel in the next round…
  14. Give some credit to the offensive playcalling too. It’s amazing how an offense looks when it isn’t in disarray and is clicking.
  15. I think with Johnson, we’re going to have to wait until he’s available for a second interview if Detroit is still in it after this weekend. I view McCarthy having an in person interview as a good thing so they could get actual face time with him before he interviews elsewhere. Like Tony, I don’t objectively think the Raiders are a better spot than the Bears. They lack the quarterback and don’t have a top 1 or 2 pick. I’m not sure that their roster is as built up like the Bears are. Sure, Brady is an owner there but their ownership has its own issues (just like the Bears).
  16. A cool moment. Too bad the Bears didn’t draft this offensive lineman.
  17. Kevin Warren has to know one win won’t change things. George McCaskey should have no say in the head coach hire given his track record. I think Poles stays but wish he wouldn’t. And I hope they get Ben Johnson or Mike Vrabel at this point. As far as Williams being the problem, I see more of an undisciplined football team and an offensive line that is horrendous. They definitely need to throw the ball down the field as they can’t live on screens and short gains though.
  18. So I looked into an antenna for my house and found a bunch of cables downstairs leading to different parts of the house - outside, up through the floor to extend to the three seasons room, up in the attic and into the bedrooms. Then, when my dad and I were putting up some lights so we could see in the attic at our main staircase and in my wife’s closet and we found an antenna set up with a cable connected in the attic and on the east side of the house. We found the cable that hooked up to the TVs, an input and output box in the basement and some cables with a tag that said “ANT” on it. Once those were plugged in, the tv found all of the channels through the air, including CHSN. It was pretty sweet that we had an antenna all set up just sitting there in the attic. Good thing the previous owner didn’t have it taken down when they got Direct TV and then Comcast.
  19. Hoping so. Some people pointed out years ago that Rodgers played behind a terrible line and still made plays so the Bears QBs should do the same. I don’t buy that argument and think the line is needed. Luckily and in theory, the Bears should be able to snag a top offensive lineman with a top 10 pick in the draft.
  20. I watched the game last night and thought that Washington was lucky. But I also liked their offensive scheme and their ability to move the ball. They seem to get several players involved and don’t do short passes. They free Daniels up to make throws, something I don’t see the Bears doing with Williams. Maybe the line play is better or a team can do more with a stronger line.
  21. Hope so, especially because he’s supposed to be a generational quarterback.
  22. LT Rasheed Walker, ‘22 7th round pick LG Elgton Jenkins, ‘19 2nd round pick C Josh Myers, ‘21 2nd round pick RG Sean Rhyan, ‘22 3rd round pick RT Zach Tom, ‘22 4th round pick I was thinking about the timing of a hire, like I think Johnson might not be able to be hired until after Detroit’s run in the postseason. I’d hope Warren is searching for Poles’ replacement by now if he’s going to fire him. I also wonder if coaches like Rivera or Carroll have ties to the GM they’d want to work with.
  23. Amen Olin Kruetz.
  24. The screens remind me of Nagy’s offense or John Shoop’s. lol
