  1. Does he mean taking a step back and looking at who they are as a team, front office and ownership or does he mean another rebuild? Because I can’t see a rebuild happening. If Tony is back, what happens to this team to try and get them to the next level? Now I’m wondering if Abreu walking, targeting the right free agents for the rotation and outfield and a trade with some pieces on the roster to make changes will be enough. Off topic: Will Benetti be back next year? I think his contract allows him to work for other networks, but I wonder if he likes his Sox gig enough to stay. And I wonder if it ticks Len off at all that he has to do TV when he wants to do radio.
  2. It’s going to be at least 5-0 before I get relieved from watching my son. I’ll watch a show instead of this crap and see what happens later on. Maybe Leury will pitch.
  3. Let’s play Russian roulette. Good Jake Diekman or bad Jake Diekman. Good White Sox lineup or bad White Sox lineup in the bottom half? Red Light? Green Light?
  4. Finish it off boys.
  5. Yes, they had to sweep. Yes, this is a playoff series. Yes, they won’t get the tiebreaker. Yes, 2 of 3 won’t do it. Yes, it’s a minuscule chance the Guardians will fall to the second spot. But it is all still possible. Let it play out.
  6. Baseball is a weird game though. They could lose today, win the next two and Cleveland could lose to KC and Tampa. It’s not likely but it is possible. Many folks seem to have given up and some I’m sure want to grave dance to see change. We will see how it plays out.
  7. A he’s hurt throw.
  8. 2 out of 3 is still possible. Relax. Clase could also implode today.
  9. “Ray, when someone asks you if you should bunt, you say yes!” Think Ghostbusters and the first game in extras in Detroit.

  11. I was hoping for a Pods like bomb but it was not to be.
  12. Serves him right for being an ass during Cease’s one hitter a few weeks ago. I looked at his managerial stats during that game and thought that he wouldn’t win a World Series as the Twins manager. That made me feel better. I like the hustle, but it could catch up to them eventually like it did with the Sox this year. Although the Sox had more freak injuries.
  13. I’ll never understand why they don’t IL players and bench them instead. Their philosophy must be to deal with soft tissue injuries and not structural injuries instead of putting them on the IL. Then they must put Robert out there as a possible threat to turn it on and have a great game. Or the injury he has is one where he can play through it and they are trading defense for offense. Then again we don’t know specifics of the injuries but I don’t think the bench to avoid the IL is a great one.
  14. He was definitely safe. What a break they got there. Home plate umpire has had a tough game behind the plate tonight.
  15. What is actually wrong with him?
  16. And to think some posters wanted to DFA Harrison.
  17. The bolded isn’t realistic. More likely they will shed some payroll and retool.
  18. …And something other than ground balls.
  19. It’s going to take some stones to pitch in the small zone this umpire has tonight to come back and win.
  20. Jason eats like a fat kid and Steve needs to actually eat and stop worrying about his triglycerides.
  21. At least they aren’t full of crap yet.
  22. He needs to understand that you can’t just be in the pocket and turn your body the other way when you get under pressure. He’s going to end up fumbling or getting completely blindsided and hurt doing that. It might have worked against the 49ers but if other teams defend him like the Packers did, he is going to be in for a world of hurt. I guess I am trying to understand who they need to upgrade on the offensive line. At wide receiver they desperately need to, they didn’t address it well enough in the draft or in free agency. The guys they did sign aren’t making plays, so I hope they focus more on that than the offensive line.
  23. Does he look bad or does his lack of explosive talent at WR make him bad? That is what I am trying to figure out.
  24. I still think they need to acquire an actual successful starting pitcher through free agency or a trade. Decide if they really need Sheets and see if he can bring that starting pitcher back. I doubt they bring an ex-White Sox player back, that doesn’t happen all that often.
