Why do you think they are good possibilities? What kind of coach is Day, is he an offensive minded coach? Fitz is more of the CEO kind who probably is suited for the college level. What kind of coach should they hire next? I don’t know if one who is also the play caller makes sense. Then again, according to Dan Pompei George McCaskey told the team and coaches that this story is false.

Brad Biggs just reported he met with ownership before the second walkthrough and cancelled the scheduled meetings for the rest of the day. https://twitter.com/BradBiggs/status/1463335679765659649?s=20

I bet it happens, but I don’t think it happens until the end of the year. I would be shocked if they fired Nagy before the season is over. I also am left wondering if Pace gets a different front office job and they bring in a new GM. Roster turnover has to be coming too. Graham, Foles, Hicks and Robinson are probably gone and Mack is probably shopped. I’m not sold he would give a high return with the salary that he has.

“To replace Nagy (if that is what they choose to do) I wonder if a play calling head coach is what they need, or if it is better to find a CEO type and have a coordinator run the offense. Or does it make sense to try again and hire Brian Daboll or Eric Bienemy? I’m not sure what is appropriate with where they are at roster wise and with the resources they have and where the NFL is trending with head coaches.“ What do all of you think the next Bears coach should be like? Edit: I’ll have to look up Champ and see where he was before and who he is connected to.

Although I am willing to give Nagy until the end of the year to see the entire body of work, I think the track record from year to year is that they just aren’t good enough with him at the helm to get to the next level. At first, I thought he was an offensive guru because of the offense he was running, but the NFL appeared to have caught up. Then I wondered if he would be more of a CEO head coach type, but I just don’t see his skill - like a tactician (Belichick) or motivator. I fully expect him to get the axe on Black Monday. Pace could survive despite some of the questionable moves he has made. I am most frustrated with the deals he has made with picks and the salary cap numbers he’s committed over the years, along with the mismatch of players on the roster that he has for what they are trying to run. It is simply unforgivable to have the lack of depth that they do in the secondary, for example, your highest paid quarterback is riding the bench and Graham is owed money over the next several years. To replace Nagy (if that is what they choose to do) I wonder if a play calling head coach is what they need, or if it is better to find a CEO type and have a coordinator run the offense. Or does it make sense to try again and hire Brian Daboll or Eric Bienemy? I’m not sure what is appropriate with where they are at roster wise and with the resources they have and where the NFL is trending with head coaches.

The amount of penalties is going to fall as a reflection on Nagy but the players deserve blame at some point. And some were BS but still. That tip by Watt was a big play at the end especially if that was caught. Santos had a job to do but it wasn’t going to happen with the field goal. The record may have meant more to him but he is definitely reliable which is more than they could have said with Barth and Parkey. Regarding the time out, it would have been nice to have but I wonder if time would have run out.

Fields comeback? Let’s do it! Make up for those missed roughing the passer calls earlier and screw the Steelers.

What’s wrong with him? -
I heard Lawrence Holmes mention the idea that Baez could come in to play short, with Anderson moving to second. He and Herb Lawrence looked up the numbers and said it made sense. Sox fans were texting in to complain, saying that it would mess Anderson up. Thoughts?

Sorry to hear that about your girlfriend. I am actually more of an ectomorph than endomorph, I just gained some weight during the pandemic. I think I just need to get back to the gym even if I have to work out with a mask on. Running can only do so much when weights and resistance is the missing piece.

Okay but those statements are not lazy analysis. Usually fans just sit there after losses and say Fire Nagy and Pace without any additional commentary. I tend to blame players not performing for the outcome on the field. Hicks, Mack, Goldman, and Jackson for example. Graham and Foles are bad bonehead contracts and they haven’t done shit this year. Robinson has been nowhere to be found. Overall, lots of players underperforming. That pisses me off more than Nagy and Pace since it’s likely one or two of them will be gone after the year.
-
Yeah, so they suck. I’m not saying I saw it here, but it is lazy analysis to just focus on those two individuals when the team itself is flawed too.
-
Robinson and Hicks have to be goners after this year. Mooney could be a number one and someone else could be on that line to replace Hicks.
-
Hey Bears fans! It’s Matt Nagy’s fault! Oh wait, he wasn’t even there. I blame the defense for the loss today. They are just a bad team that will probably result in Nagy getting fired when I blame Pace more than Nagy.

Thanks Grinder. I agree that you would find more selection at the gym instead of a home gym but building up some weights at home would be a good thing. I would agree that Planet Fitness falls short of expectations and I don’t like how their squat racks are really connected Smith machines. The price is right though. I used to go to a great small gym in Downers Grove at ATI Physical Therapy but it closed down. If I can get a treadmill, some hand weights, a bench press, a squat rack, something to push and pull and an area to do abs I’ll be okay since that was my workout. My body frame is basically 6’2 210-220 so I’m skinny fat.?

So I have been debating this for a while now, ever since I cancelled my gym membership because of the pandemic and to keep our now almost one year old son safe. Is it better to get workout equipment for home and lift at home or is it better to just go back to the gym? My routine was to workout 3 times a week, using the gym 1-2 times each week and running outside the other times. Now I am lucky to get two runs in. I sit working at a desk for a living and have noticed some weight gain (I haven’t weighed myself but I’m not as strong as I used to be) so I am trying to figure out what makes more sense, buying weights and lifting at home or going to the gym? I should say that I haven’t found many gyms near me (northwest suburbs) with a swimming pool as I think I’d like to swim laps on cross training days, but I could just go to a gym like Planet Fitness to get my workout in. What gyms do people use? What do you like about the gym compared to working out at home and vice versa? Is it worth the money to invest in weights at home? I’m case this matters, my goal is to shed some weight (let’s say I’m probably 10 pounds more than I’d like to be) and want to build up some muscle again. What are some suggestions for someone who never really figured out a schedule for lifting and just tried to mix cardio with upper body lifts and leg lifts (as in I have no schedule or routine and lift randomly)?

He’s a player that was under team control. He is also a player that appears to be a slap hitter. It will suck to see him with the Cubs going forward but unless he gets better I don’t think he will be an All Star. Certainly not franchise breaking. They may have dodged a bullet with not bringing back McCann this year. They definitely need a defensive catcher, at least one starting pitcher if not two, adding more arms to the pen and an actual second baseman and right fielder. I’m not sure if they can meet those needs but if they want to win a World Series that is what is needed. -

And That's a White Sox Home Playoff Winner !
The Beast replied to CaliSoxFanViaSWside's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Already better than the 2020 playoff results. Let’s hope Rodon can go a decent amount of innings tomorrow with voo doo cane guy’s help and luck will be on our side to send this back to Houston. Not sure if the fans will all show up tomorrow with it being a workday and the scheduling being as stupid as it is. The offense needs to show up in a big way. Go get it tomorrow! Sox in five! -

Thomas Francis Hallion (born September 5, 1956) is the absolute worst American umpire in Major League Baseball (MLB) who has worked in the National League (NL) from 1985 to 1999 and throughout both major leagues since 2005. He was the Most Valuable Player for the Chicago White Sox in game 3 of the 2021 ALDS for legalizing baserunners to run anywhere on the field if they are attempting to deflect throws. Looks like someone’s mad at Tom Hallion.?
